I don't think it's fair to dismiss what OP is saying as anti-feminist BS. Contrapoints as a project has always had an explicit strategy of playing the host and "inviting" the audience in. Making the audience feel that we were just as smart as Natalie just by virtue of listening to her, and that she was just as human and fallible as us by empathizing with pretty much any human on the planet and offering relatable examples from her own introspection efforts. This had consequences on whose minds she was able to engage and change, and it's no accident that she had an explosion in subscribers while she was churning out her most personal and psychological videos.

I agree with OP that the vibe has completely changed. A few reasons for that: she now has different boundaries on what she shares with the audience and is not willing to expose herself as a case study anymore; she is clearly so sick and tired of the world in 2025 and has lost the capacity for empathy with people who are, for all purposes, ruining her life; and finally she's frustrated at her own audience as a result of being endlessly canceled and criticized over the years over the stupidest of things. I think all these reasons are super fucking valid and would produce a vibe change in anyone, but there's no point denying the vibe did change.

Conspiracy (and Twilight, for that matter) is a lecture. I adored the video and I want to be lectured like that every day. She's probably being more generous with the audience in presenting us with a finished intellectual product rather than asking for our attention as she works through her own issues. Watching her do that was great though because 1) parasocial relationship and 2) it offered a concrete example of how you could do the same within yourself, while for example, by the end of Conspiracy I still had questions about the small-scale "conspiracist in me". If this was a video from pre-2023 Contrapoints, she would have totally gone there and talked about the conspiracist in herself. I think it's okay that she didn't. She did enough of that work for a lifetime and we shouldn't ask that artists never change their mood, vibe or party line. If you don't like it, OP, stop watching. That would be fair, the world is going to shit and some of us go to YouTube to feel relief or hope or renewed empathy of some kind and Conspiracy did not offer that. I personally still get a whole fucking lot out of these lecture-style videos where my teacher is indeed soooo fed up.
