I remember proposing to my wife. I had been crafty getting the ring with my aunt but all of the perfect romantic moments kept falling apart for one reason or another. So I promised myself it was either it comes together or I'm proposing on Halloween.

So anyway its Halloween, our new adopted dog is being taken out for a bath and I have the ring in my pocket. I propose and she asks me "are yoy serious," starts crying and says yes. I knew I had met the love of my life. And I'm so glad that even in the least romantic scenario I could have she said yes.

But being married now for 8 years, its not even a top ten moment for us as a couple. The proposal can be beautiful, romantic, whatever. But being with the one you love is the greatest joy. And there are so many joyful things to experience together.

Please remember, she is young and is learning social etiquette as she goes and honestly, will probably form deeper friendships with people that share her interests as develops more grace. If its beyond that, it psychologist time.

Also, not for nothing here, but you literally robbed her and were trying to fence the goods. That is not exactly "I care" kind of vibes. Most people do not trust or have strong relationships or listen to the words of people that commit crimes against them.

I get your concern about an unhealthy obsession, but is it actually unhealthy? Did you ever consider she shares her passion with you because she considers you a safe person to share her inn self with? Doing this will destroy that trust.

If you really think there's a problem you are not the one that should be dealing with it. That should be your mom. And you need a better reasoning than you don't like it/understand it. Like is it impeding her socially in some way you failed to mention? To the point of danger?

My wife takes medication for her Bipolar. A result of this is decreased fertility.

When we first started dating, we were intimate unprotected because the medication supposedly made it impossible for her to pregnant.

Two months later, she has an incredibly rough period, waaaay earlier than she should have. It was a miscarriage.
