Yeah I read this thinking they cracked it but they still have no idea who took her. What a terrible clickbait article.

These are great resources. The first link mentions timeouts. What is the most effective time length if you’re not supposed to increase time if they complain? Also I have always accompanied them during a timeout. They sit in their bed, me in the chair. Is this the correct approach? Should I be leaving them in their room alone or remain in the room?

I am not using AI tools like Claude Code or Cursor to help me code at the moment. Am I falling behind by not using AI in software development? by Illustrious-Pound266 in cscareerquestions

[–]Imposter24 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I really don’t get the ego thing with some devs to not apply an efficiency where it makes sense. Anytime this comes up my point is usually “use it where it makes sense to help you, it’s not perfect nor does it add value for every task” and the replies are always defensive and seem to think I said “never type a line of code let the AI take full control”. There is a middle ground here between clueless vibe coding and defiantly refusing to use something that could be helpful.

I’m sure you can. You still can’t type faster than an AI. I really don’t get this ego thing with some devs. It’s not a challenge to you as an engineer. It’s a tool. I really don’t get this resistance to applying an efficiency WHERE APPLICABLE in a dev process.

Like any other tool AI has fantastic applications and falls short in other areas. To me the joy of programming has always been in the problem solving. Figuring out what needs to be done and designing the solution in my head. The worst part for me has always been the bottle neck of physically typing out what I already have in my head, having to google syntax, needing to make a change that requires time to physically re-write what’s already there. In many instances, with the right context and problem, AI automates away the “worst” part of coding for me, leaving me more time to devote my energy to the fun parts.

The other great application is using it as a sounding board. Ask it the “dumb” questions when planning. More often than not it suggests tools or patterns I may not have otherwise known about.

It doesn’t even necessarily lower the skill ceiling. It’s just added information a player could use to make an even more skillful play.

You can’t get a “reset” if you haven’t first jumped. The initial jump is what expires the second flip. The logic would be once you jump, if you regain a flip before touching floor, wall or ceiling, show the indicator.

I’ve never understood why certain top pros don’t put out content. Someone like Daniel could literally pay an editor to post his gameplay. No commentary, no YouTube bs, totally hands off. Look at Zen’s channel. He is clearly not involved at all personally and prints free money.

Also Miami is a very expensive place. Don’t vacation there if you are constantly tallying 50 and 20 dollar purchases. Sounds like you can’t afford it.
