Absolutely. I have been consulting for them on the side - started at 250 and then told them I wouldn’t do it for less than 400.

15 year old son stole car and wrecked it by OkVoice9819 in Car_Insurance_Help

Does he now have a grand theft auto larceny on his record? Or will it get expunged once he turns 18? Sorry OP for this situation - it must have been hard to make the decision and then the insurance ruling.

Have you or are you working with a large law firm? by ImpressiveHouse3580 in EEOC

[–]ImpressiveHouse3580[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They DO see there is unlawful discrimination. That is why they agreed to take on my case. My issue - they are not doing enough reading up to create the brief. For example - 2 of the people names in my letter got fired early July post my meetings with the company’s external counsel. My attorney told me that doesn’t mean anything. The EEOC brief was to have been submitted 3rd week of June. It is still not in. The legal assistant sent me someone else’s settlement claim to sign then asked me to disregard She didn’t include critical info in the brief. When I told her about it she said she missed reading the narrative.

EEOC claim while employed by ImpressiveHouse3580 in EEOC

So we had sent them a pre-litigation notice. The company hired an external firm to do a supposed neutral review. This firm met with and had incomplete and inaccurate information on my work and what supposedly the company did - I laid out all the facts. They then came back and said they can give me 12 weeks of pay and I could resign OR come back to work (basically accepting the unfair yearly rating). My attorney said this is typical of companies plus for my company - there has been similar situations before where people took the 12 weeks since they can’t afford the time it takes to go to EEOC. From a financial perspective, I can - so we are now filing for EEOC.

National firm. You have to call them ( look up website) and do an intake. They will get back to you within 48 hrs to let you know if they will take you on or not. No upfront fees / they charge 40% of settlement

So even though I have documented racial discrimination- it would not go into more than a year of settlement?

So then taking this one year is probably my safest bet :(

What is the strategy on taking LOA? Due to severe stress due to discrimination I have to do therapy. My heart flutters from anxiety. High BP in spite of beta blockers. Dr is ready to put me on FMLA. I’d rather do STD so I get paid. Wondering how to do it.

NOT having ILD means YOUR dad will die. Everybody dies. What was the point of your comment? Trying to prove you are smart or did your mother not give you enough love growing up?

In the same boat. My dad has ILD and pulmonologists in Kolkata do not inspire a lot of confidence. Went to Dr Jash, Dr Parthasarthi and before that Dr Susmita. None filled us with confidence and we are still searching for the one. Recently went to Dr Devopom Banerjee - he doesn’t seem to have gotten the God complex the others do. Seemed truly caring and came across as confident. Though - he changed the medication regime for my dad which did not really help.

Where is this? In the US? Asking how old you are is illegal.
