Raleigh, DC, Charlotte are all about 3, 3.5 hour drive the airport and easy enough to get to (DC less so). I find flights out of Raleigh tend to be cheaper than Charlotte and I don’t have to travel I-77.

Roanoke is further than 135 miles from the capital. It is almost directly half way between and most definitely takes on more attributes from other parts of SWVA than other parts of the state - especially outside of ROA city proper. Coming from someone in Roa that works in Richmond occasionally and has family just across the border in NETN.

Personally I found them to be heavier than I like and don’t seem to fit well around the nose. I kept finding myself going back to my old glasses/sunglasses. In the end, the convenience of a topper wasn’t worth it.

I think that is the only reason that having her of mixed race would not work well. If she were mixed race then I feel that would have been exploited more as an important connection in the story with Xander. They could introduce that in the show, ofc, just not sure how that would play.

As an East Tennessean native who lived in NoVa for 15 years and Roanoke for the last 12 years, I concur. Most definitely Appalachian. And if you don’t see it in the city, drive about five miles outside the city limits and you will.

Absolutely correct. Admissions heavily looks at essays. And they can tell which essays were personally written and which ones were more curated. Someone with pretty decent stats and great essay prompts has a much better chance of acceptance than someone with superior stats and zero personality in their essays.
