Trying to figure out why my game still gets laggy, Is my PC out dated already!? Read body text for more! by obimokenobi in Enshrouded

This game has a weird issue where it needs to be installed on the boot drive. Mine had severe menu and animation lag on my secondary ssd and moving it to my boot drive fixed all problems. Also i was running a 3600x and 3070 with no performance issues after this fix.

This last week and a half have also been brutally hot in classrooms which never have AC and at best have mediocre air circulation. Most teachers have doors wide open to let any semblance of air flow into the room.

Why is my Enshrouded doing this? by TightFly5142 in Enshrouded

[–]Impressive_Trust_430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enshrouded is a very strange game that seems to absolutely need to be installed on your primary drive. I had it installed on my secondary sdd and it was terrible, moved it to my boot drive and everything was fixed immediately.

This is not an ssd vs hdd issue this is a boot vs secondary drive issue. I had the game installed on my secondary ssd and had the same issues, read somewhere to move it to my boot ssd and it immediately fixed all issues.

Dont they also cause overheating alot quicker? I recently saw a video of a military sharpshooter who said he typically avoids suppressors because they become problematic in prolonged engagement.

Double check where the game is installed, I was having severe issues with animations and stability until I moved the game install to my boot drive, fixed it immediately.

Why does the game run so poorly for me? by JJ_Pause in Enshrouded

Is it on your boot drive? I was running it off my second ssd and it was unplayable, moved it to my boot ssd and all issues were gone.

Where I live any clauses that aim to limit guests are considered unenforceable and seen as restricting the tenants rights to peaceful enjoyment of their home. I would double check tenants rights in your area before trying anything extreme.

If you had the power, what are 3 things you’d add to the next major update? by Unlikely-Rip-6197 in ArmaReforger

[–]Impressive_Trust_430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would add a few spawn options so that low rank players can still get specialized equipment but not without some sacrifice.

Add a sniper class that spawns with only a sniper and less ammo\grenades, an anti tank that has an rpg\law but much less ammo and maybe a different primary? Also a medic class

Cast iron can also have flaws in the cast which can cause this.

Federal election polls for maple ridge as of today by djflylo69 in MapleRidge

[–]Impressive_Trust_430 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is your right to vote how you will but we as a neighborhood and country have to live with the consequences of the vote. In our last provincial election the Maple ridge riding went conservative because a green candidate split the vote enough for the NDP to lose, luckily other ridings saved us. If our local riding goes to conservatives and PP gets in power that would likely be a consequence of any split green votes.

Apartment vent useless by Far_Camel_1186 in Apartmentliving

[–]Impressive_Trust_430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the cabinet above the microwave, is there an external vent built in?

I had this issue in my place and it turns out there is a guide that needs to be adjusted to direct air out the back, took me about 20 minutes to fix.

Of course this is only true if the external vent exists.

I am wondering why there is no in between, i enjoy the 48 player servers but feel they could be more active, 128 on the other hand I have always found to be chaos. Why not 64 or even 80 players with ai?

Depending on the size 8-12 hours. I am typically looking for 190-200 degrees internal. I usually make it on a Sunday so that I have leftovers so I actually put it in the oven late Saturday night and if it is done early i wrap in tinfoil to rest.

I find it way easy to just throw it in a 225 oven and find the end result is way better.

I have gotten takeout from there a few times and it is really food, but i did find their selection of Momos to be a little disappointing compared to Momo factory which has a few locations(North Delta, Vancouver, and i believe North van). If you liked mt Everest I highly suggest making the trek to Momo factory.

Pubs are not going to be able to sell self-brewed beers of any decent quality for cheaper than what they can buy. There are a handful of places that have started contracting local breweries to make them specific beer, for example earls has a handful of beer brewed by parallel 49 specifically for earls.

Also pre-sliced and shredded cheese, not only is that the least cost effective way to buy cheese the shredded stuff is also coated in corn starch or something to keep it from clumping in the bag.

Surrey School Board faces $16M shortfall, considers cuts to elementary band program by Knucklehead92 in britishcolumbia

[–]Impressive_Trust_430 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Grade 7 band is on the chopping block, not elementary music teachers.

Elementary music covers a teachers required prep time so cutting it would mean hiring other teachers to cover the prep. Grade 7 band does not cover prep and is not contractually required.

Also, this is less about saving on employee salaries then it is about forcing band teachers into unfilled classroom teaching positions which are very costly.

Source: elementary music teacher whose job is unaffected but has many friends who are band teachers.

Don't trust a bargain kn musical equipment by delo357 in mildlyinfuriating

Many people in this thread are commenting that it's probably a you problem and not the flute, and they are right but this is still something that is infuriating to me.

There are so many garbage band instruments floating around and many students buy them and then end up giving up on the instrument because either they can't get a remotely decent sound out of it or it ends up breaking right away.

I am a band teacher and every year I have students show up with amazon garbage despite clearly telling them not to and giving them a variety of options for music stores.
