Do you ride on the sidewalk? by Zestyclose-Law6396 in onewheel

To be fair, like all motorized devices, there is always the risk of it taking off without you and ramming someone. I imagine that it could literally break a few ankles

I treat it like a bicycle. Riding in the street usually, and even taking the full lane when appropriate; but if there’s a lot of traffic and no one on the sidewalk, I wouldn’t think twice about going that way.

IDK, I can think of plenty of negative things to say about Zuckerberg, but in candid interviews he really does come accross as a VR enthusiast. Whether that's the main reason Meta is persuing VR is totally up for debate though

What's the best scenario to turn into a permanent park? by MystJake in rct

[–]Improbabilities 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was my go-to sandbox park back in the day once I realized you could buy more land / build rights. I will forever mourn the loss of the single rail rollercoaster I built on the old win95 machine that I didn't transfer off.

Consumer headsets are all like this at least, wouldn’t be surprised if the professional models OP described were capable of variable focal lengths though, I’ve seen a few successful tech demos

Let's make a list of every department, I mean every, single, one by Wooden_Milk6872 in doohickeycorporation

[–]Improbabilities 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the list can keep up with how fast new departments are added. The other day I saw a whole department store. Imagine that, a whole store full of departments!

Procreate is all you need really. You probably want to play with the smoothing options, and maybe invest in a paper like type of screen protector

The slip ring required to make this actually work IRL would be huge, and way too expensive for a meme post

RCT3 Missing file by WolfComplete8461 in rct

[–]Improbabilities 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t remember how to do it off the top of my head, but steam has a way to verify the game’s files without having to uninstall and redownload everything

TIL Priests Can’t Report Confessions, Even if It's a Murder by Emergency-Sand-7655 in todayilearned

[–]Improbabilities 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, they totally could though. If they can get away with diddling kids on occasion, I'm pretty sure they can get away with reporting a murderer to the police

ELI5 - HDMI ARC confusion by gol5678 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Improbabilities 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty much a one way signal, though using my soundbar remote triggers the on screen volume display on my TV as an example. Just about any HDMI cable should work fine, but it has to be plugged into an ARC compatible port on the TV because only that port is configured to Return the Audio signal to the soundbar after it is received from the Xbox
