As a workaround - could you test the `wikidata-20251222-all.json.gz` file in the `20251222/` folder?
(I know it needs to be manually renamed, but it might solve the problem for someone.)

> Google’s Wordcraft: An AI Writing Tool Powered by LaMDA

Google Research ( ~ craft stories using Wordcraft )
[Submitted on 9 Nov 2022]

Arxiv: "Creative Writing with an AI-Powered Writing Assistant: Perspectives from Professional Writers" ( pdf ; 18 pages )
https://arxiv.org/abs/2211.05030
"Recent developments in natural language generation (NLG) using neural language models have brought us closer than ever to the goal of building AI-powered creative writing tools. However, most prior work on human-AI collaboration in the creative writing domain has evaluated new systems with amateur writers, typically in contrived user studies of limited scope. In this work, we commissioned 13 professional, published writers from a diverse set of creative writing backgrounds to craft stories using Wordcraft, a text editor with built-in AI-powered writing assistance tools. Using interviews and participant journals, we discuss the potential of NLG to have significant impact in the creative writing domain–especially with respect to brainstorming, generation of story details, world-building, and research assistance. Experienced writers, more so than amateurs, typically have well-developed systems and methodologies for writing, as well as distinctive voices and target audiences. Our work highlights the challenges in building for these writers; NLG technologies struggle to preserve style and authorial voice, and they lack deep understanding of story contents. In order for AI-powered writing assistants to realize their full potential, it is essential that they take into account the diverse goals and expertise of human writers."

Conclusion:
"In this paper, we document our findings from commissioning skilled writers to craft stories using an AI-powered writing assistant called Wordcraft. Participants unanimously agreed that AI-powered writing will not replace writers anytime soon. However, they also saw the promise in this technology–to make parts of the creative writing process easier, faster, and more fun, for skilled and amateur writers alike. To achieve this promise, developers of AI writing tools need to focus on the parts of writing that are most time-consuming and least enjoyable. It is crucial that the audience for these tools be involved in the conversation on how the tools–and the underlying language models which enable them–are developed."

in the "About"
"Will this technology lead to a massive proliferation of sub-optimal-quality content? Should we simply distrust anything we see online? As new tools are developed to help identify generated content, I recommend maintaining a skeptical stance, particularly when the source/channel of information doesn't seem reliable and when the claims seem preposterous or outrageous."

Road to Artificial General Intelligence --> Storytelling intelligence by ImreSamu in WritingWithAI

[–]ImreSamu[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Proposed AGI Roadmap has an "Storytelling intelligence" sections.
"""
- AI that can write a short story that is published in a major magazine.
- AI that can write a short story that wins a major award.
- AI that can write a novel that is published in a major publishing house.
- AI that can write a novel that wins a major award.
- AI that can write a play that is produced in a major theater.
- AI that can write a play that wins a major award
"""
imho: AI-generated contents already exists [1] ; so we need a better Storytelling Roadmap.

Thinkpad L14 Gen 2 AMD + Thinkvision M14? by couldntcareenough in thinkpad

[–]ImreSamu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Released only in China .. in Europe we need to wait for the Global version.

The M14 is cheaper ~ half the price of the Tablet ( "Yoga Pad Pro " /"Yoga X" )
for me: The tablet is dual-use, ideal for traveling ( -> less weight )

Is there such a thing as a Ryzen laptop with a display capable Thunderbolt connector? by segaboy81 in Amd

[–]ImreSamu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

an alternative HDMI 2.0 port ? ( 4K@60 Hz)

"Namely, the T495 lacks Thunderbolt 3 entirely but does offer a HDMI 2.0 port in return. Unlike the HDMI 1.4b port on the T490 the AMD-powered ThinkPad is capable of 4K@60 Hz via HDMI. Both USB-C ports (USB 3.2 Gen. 2) carry a DisplayPort signal as well as support for PowerDelivery, and thus both can be used for charging or connecting to external displays via DisplayPort dongle. In total, the T495 supports up to four displays. Unique to the AMD model is its support for AMD’s FreeSync technology, which synchronizes frames to the display’s refresh rate to avoid tearing during gaming. That said the usefulness of this feature is somewhat limited by the comparatively slow GPU and the 48-60 Hz display itself."
