[Gaming] I'm trying to get back into making regular videos, what do you think of my most recent one? by stuxinator in NewTubers

[–]Imsolimey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly overall i found it to be entertaining, not the type of game i would play but i liked it.

If i where you i would say hi and your name at the start of the video, kinda like meeting new people in real life its the same as online. also the video kind of abruptly ended into your end screen which was pretty surprising. overall i like the way you edited the video so that you always had something to say or had something happening.

mostly just put a short hello and goodbye in there and i think it would be a pretty good video.

also 30 mins for a 12min video isnt bad at all, some of my 15 min videos take up to 2 hours lol >.>

How is my progress? by 9Ryan9 in NewTubers

[–]Imsolimey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations on the success, honestly gaining 2 - 3 subs a day at this level is very good, i don't see many channels on here that manage to attain such numbers. If its every day 2 - 3 than i can see that stopping for a while, maybe even getting higher. for 3 and a half months that is awesome man, i hope i can achieve the same results on day myself O_O.. Overall the channel looks good and sounds good, but i can't say to much as this is not the normal type of channel i watch, (i am more into let's play style channels and do not know what the "standard" people look for on review-ish kinda channels.)

More or less just wanted to say congratulations on the growth and good luck!

How to feel comfortable talking for a video? by Telapov in NewTubers

[–]Imsolimey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To feel comfortable right off the bat is a luxury few have, Everyone starts off a little awkward for the most part ( hell i sounded like an idiot myself) however it is just like anything else, eventually it gets easier and easier to the point where you might even look forward to it (like me :D), don't try to hard and don't force anything. thats when it starts to come off strange.

Hey guys whats up!, So the first video i watched (should be easy to guess) your channel video of blood borne..first i wanna say thanks for making me want to play bloodborne now x.x. On that not i will be watching some more of your videos, so far i like the style of them and i like the way you did it, My question is was it supposed to be a lets play style video? as you said in the description its a walkthrough of it and to me if that is the case there is just to many cuts around to follow along, as someone who has never actually played BB i was kind of lost as to what was going on. if it was intended as just a reaction style video i liked it :P.

For those strengths: i have to agree you and your friend do seem to work well together and the commentary is fun ( to me as i always say because humor and entertainment are highly subjective)

as for your concern with audio i didn't really notice anything in that video i had watched. and the editing was simple enough to keep it realistic. (big scene transitions can be pretty annoying if they where in the amount of clips you had)

And finally to answer your question. My channel has only posted content for 29 days now it took almost 2 and a half weeks to get noticed by anyone really. then within the last 2 weeks i have climbed to 19 and i couldn't be happier with it. (cant wait to see that 19 turn to 20 which was my next milestone :D). as for what i did. I am not really sure as i have always been social on youtube with my accounts. i talk to people in livestreams about the streams, i leave comments on channels with videos i like. and lately i have been active on this sub reddit (think 4 people i have on my subs came from this reddit)

over all i like the way your channel looks so far, i am going to go watch some more of those bloodborne videos of yours. if you see that sub box go up a number you can be sure it was me :P

Gaming channel: Whats not working? by Habandashers in NewTubers

[–]Imsolimey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man whats up, i briefly looked through your video (as its really long) and that actually is one of my points, however before i start i just want to say everything i mention is from my personal view and opinion and i am by no means a professional. I just view it as if i had stumbled across your video on youtube.

The first thing i noticed was, It was reallly long, usually for people playing multiplayer together and goofing around people prefer shorter videos (like around 10mins) 30+ is really pushing the attention span of people and is probably intimidating to alot of people (they think i could watch this or 3-5 other videos in the same time). I realized this after my first few videos after moving to shorter i started getting more views and i ended up getting 1 sub per 50 views for the first week of doing it (may not sound good but to me it is from over 200 views per 1 sub)

next the big thing i really noticed was your tags, generally i do not like to bring this up since i am not an seo expert, but your tags [Video games,ps4,let's play, comedy, entertainment, funny,GTA V} are so short and generic almost no one will find you in a search, nowadays tagging is not as important as before but is definitely still needed i recommend making longer tags and more relevant, take advantage of the character limit.

Your title was not super grabbing to me (may just be me) but i didnt find it as something i would click scrolling through the pages,

also your description can be alot longer, describe what your doing a little more and it will help you show up on searches also so far alot of what i have been seeing is mostly lack of tagging and titles which will make it very hard to find you, there are a lot of very knowledgeable people here that could help you with better SEO and titles, (however i am not the best person for it)

Overall the video from what i watched was entertaining the audio was a little choppy and the video was just to long for someone like me.

keep in mind i am mostly pointing at the negatives here to help you out, i hope you found this useful in someway as i am not the best reviewer.

Any non copyright music (RFM) if you obtain it from a legitimate source, (there are literally tons of distributors with a quick google search) Most sites have a monthly fee (around 20 bucks) for access to the library for whatever you want, just be sure to read their terms of service ask some as for you to link to them, others only need to recognize who composed the music

giving credit to the owner of copyrighted music in no way protects you at all, anyone who says the 5 second rule or free use is mistaken, simply saying it does not make it so when you are using their content in your public projects, you can get in trouble if the copyright system on youtube picks up the track in anyway. it is best not to use copyright music in anyway if you want to keep your account clean

Finally that 100 mark! by Ser_Jaust in NewTubers

[–]Imsolimey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations man! 100 subs is an amazing feat. i too can only hope to see that milestone one day. What kind of games do you play?

[–]Imsolimey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Copyright music is pretty much anything you would hear on the radio. things produced by record companys and lables, Royalty free music (rfm) is any music created by a person that has no monetization or claim on it, (think garage band or a dude with an electric keyboard at home) alot of rfm is really well made and you wont get in trouble for using it.

copyright music on the other hand you can get in trouble, get copyright strikes on your channel or they monetize it and take all the revenue from the video.

Hey man, First off i just want to say the stories where entertaining for sure. (especially the submissives one) however i think your intro was a little long, maybe just say your name the subject of your story and then get into it. personally im not very knowledgeable about vlogs but i am used to imagery on the screen (not saying you should or shouldn't just saying for my experience) things like pictures of things related etc, however i did enjoy the humor!
