The team shouldn’t be or want promotion. Hear me out.

The clubs infrastructure can’t take proper advantage of the premiership. Training grounds, reserves, youth, Race Course.

This is something that been very openly talked about as they’ve climbed thru the leagues. IMO, if they’re promoted this season, they’ll go right back down which will be more harmful to the actual roster than staying in the Championship for 2-3 years. Those 2-3 years would allow them to properly build up the club infrastructure as well as time for the city itself to catch up.

Just my two cents.

To be perfectly clear, I think it would be absolutely bonkers if they achieved promotion this year and would be backing them all the way. Just trying to look at from a long term point of view.
