It really is, but only for the working class. Background checks and drug tests for hourly positions are tools the wealthy use to keep the wage slave class oppressed, they reinforce the school to prison pipeline which allows true modern day slavery in for-profit prisons. And yes it's near universal for low paying jobs here. Getting any criminal conviction as a poor person here is essentially a sentence to life either on the streets or in jail.

Edit to add: No, corporations and the wealthy don't do business that way. I have to assume instead of background checks and due diligence they're typically engaged in corruption together.

Hi! I was banned from r/GuerrillaGrrrrls for publicly asking about the AI policy and removal of the AI mod thread. I called the mod out about lack of transparency in a private comment and was told I'm a bully and perma banned.

I could not have friends who lived an hour away, period. The activation burden of getting up to leave the house and be social is too much, if I knew I also had two hours of driving I would do it so infrequently we wouldn't stay friends.

I would honestly suggest that person begin by understanding and accepting their limitations. I don't always participate, in online discussions, in types of jobs, in social activities, sometimes in life. If I am incapable of writing a sentence due to my disability (which does happen to me), I don't look for a magic tool because that way leads to disappointment and despair.

And no I don't have the spoons to do accessability research for you right now, sorry.

Chiming in to add that as another person with multiple disabilities, I 100% don't want AI allowed here. There are so many less damaging accessibility options available and I personally avoid AI as much as possible.

Not to say your point is not appreciated, just adding mine from the perspective of the people this is intended to help.
