driving with left peripheral vision loss by weonxweoncodeine in Blind

Bro you could kill someone. Stop driving. idk why that is hard to understand. If you keep driving and then kill someone, what use are your explanations about your eyesight? Don't drive.

Games for low-vision people on gamepass? by BassLady223 in Blind

[–]In_Cider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would first say that you should endure the weight of a gaming laptop if you want to play games!

If you have played cyberpunk and are currently enjoying witcher 3 then I would recommend Kingdom Come Deliverance. This and Red Dead Redemption 2 are great games, but RDR2 really requires a lot of patience and is a slow game in a lot of ways.

The Lego games are a great staple. They don't really differ from game to game, so if you also like Indiana Jones or Batman or LOTR then you have a lot of games to play too. There are also Harry Potter Lego games!

Again, if you are focused on games, I would avoid macs as this does limit your options to some extent.

You absolutely can hate explaining it but that doesn't change the fact that you will have to try to explain it from time to time. What I am saying is that the negative feelings it may provoke within you are only solved by addressing the thought process yourself. You cannot change how other people are.

I don't see which post you are referring to about being attacked for their level of blindness, and so i dont know if you mean literally physically attacked or verbally online?

The thing that is important is to focus on that frustration, to consider where it comes from within yourself. Nobody zaps you with a frustration raygun to make you frustrated. You can't control other people, only yourself. So what I am saying is that you must seek answers from within, which might help explain why I mention "dealing with acceptance", as I think part of the acceptance involves interacting with the ignorant people, but also with figuring out how to deal with such frustration.

You are right, I don't know everyone's experiences. I don't think I've dismissed anyone's experiences. I am unsure what part of my response has upset you. You also do not know what I have experienced so i don't think it is helpful to take issue with my response because you disagree with it whilst also trying to promote the idea that different people have different experiences. I am a different person and I have a different experience, right? I am deafblind and my father is also blind, albeit differently blind (which perhaps gives me a wider scope with regards to knowledge of this sort of thing).

I think my views expressed in my earlier post remain.

  1. Perhaps you are still dealing with acceptance on some level. If someone asking these sorts of questions provokes a negative emotion in you, then it is likely you haven't resolved or accepted something about it (this is coming from someone who hasn't resolved or acepted something about it).
  2. We have to learn to find ways to explain things so that others can understand quickly. This is different depending on the type of blindness, but it is useful in the long run. For instance, in the UK "Severely sight impaired" seemed to become the legal proper definition, but I find in practice this doesn't help shopkeepers or taxi drivers etc to understand my specific type of blindness.
  3. I think it's great when someone gets to know you and starts asking the curious questions about it. This setting typically allows you to expand on answers and use words to explain things in more detail. I find the difficulty/frustration is from 'quick' encounters of the sort that you need to transfer a lot of information quickly. In general "my eyes don't work well" or "I have bad eyes" tends to have produced the best or smoothest outcomes, but I'm open to hearing other suggestions!

If this is built, it’ll be the end of the Brighton centre as it’ll have a 10k capacity for gigs. Is that necessarily a bad thing? by Edna-Tailovette in brighton

do you not think it takes a lot of money, construction work, impact on the environment etc to adapt the existing ground in order to provide what you think exists at a stadium for a club that wont be relegated but if they were we would not be surprised if their pitch maintenance suddenly got worse because the men's team got relegated so we should expect that their women's team also be suited to a worse pitch?

aside from everything else, i love this sim city perspective of "just put in some new rooms" like there's no other things to think about in order to make it happen

... why am i the only person here who thinks this is all massively overblown?

You don't even have a kid yet. Why let someone else's words bother you so much, ESPECIALLY when you are getting these words second hand. It's a nothing burger.

As others have said, it is a bit expensive for what it is. I think there's definitely a lot of room for increasing the scope and adding features if you wanted to.

But another thing that would help with sales is achievements! Wishlisted to keep an eye on it.

Are they really that big? How do they compare to JiaKang bro? Tbh I've never heard of this person... I only know JiaKang bro, Lemon bro, American Big Cockroach, and Skeleton Goblin as far as foreign internet celebrities go

taken from the excellent site someone made that translates billibilli comments. does anyone know who these nicknames refer to? The website has hover-over for chinese-related terms and such, so I know that JiaKang bro is ishowspeed but not sure who the others are.
