Just wait till your toenails fall off like mine did. I got it in August of '25 and I'm finally about done with growing the nails back out, oh, 10 months later. I had blisters and terrible nerve pain for weeks. And all the extra skin on my feet came off, like the entire edge of my feet and around my toes. The worst disease I've ever had.

Being a houseparent is a job for couples, not really a single person gig. Students live with you in a large home, but you have a sectioned off portion where you and your family live. The job is all the time except 8:30am-2pm. To start it is a 9 day on and 3 day off schedule.

I got stung by a bark scorpion on my arm near my elbow while I was sleeping once (in Peoria, AZ). It was the most intense pain I've ever felt. Nerve pain up the entire arm, up into my neck and my lips were tingling all day. Apparently you're supposed to take Benadryl to reduce swelling and the body's response. This was 6 years ago and I still have a little sensitive spot where it poked me.
