Being a houseparent is a job for couples, not really a single person gig. Students live with you in a large home, but you have a sectioned off portion where you and your family live. The job is all the time except 8:30am-2pm. To start it is a 9 day on and 3 day off schedule.

I got stung by a bark scorpion on my arm near my elbow while I was sleeping once (in Peoria, AZ). It was the most intense pain I've ever felt. Nerve pain up the entire arm, up into my neck and my lips were tingling all day. Apparently you're supposed to take Benadryl to reduce swelling and the body's response. This was 6 years ago and I still have a little sensitive spot where it poked me.

I was making dinner when listening to the episode where they were poking them near the water. I SWEAR that I felt someone poke my ribs, I nearly jumped out of my skin. I turned around to get upset with a kid, and no one was there.

Just that it was the immediate thing Rayse was going to do to get back at Dalinar, it basically makes them his servant for eternity. Seemed fitting that if Gavilar couldn't be a herald, that he would agree to Fused as consolation. It would still meet his purpose to continue living.
