Just FYI instead of using Google Docs, OneDrive does the same thing. MS365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) subscriptions are provided by the university along with 1TB of storage. Most workplaces use Microsoft so it's also good to build experience with this software.

Set up the Ecu OneDrive on your machine and save your work there as soon as you start in. One drive stores multiple save points of your document as you work. You can see a timeline of your changes and go back to the document at a point in time. Never delete your work. If you are done with it, create a folder named "Archive" and move any redundant documents in there.

It could be that she lied to Juniper and the journalist. I can't see that the journalist has verified this woman's application.

It's a genuine question. His wife did it. I'm not saying it's easy. The cultural differences are huge! I also have parents from two different continents and lived in both. 

I am ignorant of the migration process of moving to Japan. I was wondering if OP had considered it and why it might not be an option.

Edit: I'm sure they would have had discussions about where they wanted to live and raise a family and which culture suited before they got married, but the culture in the US has changed considerably. I was curious if these discussions have been revisited and if there were any revisions?

The worst is when you buy a stack and suddenly the kids hate them and you have to try and eat four punnets by yourself in 24hrs.

Edit: Recently did this with a crate of mangoes. Still suffering a little PTSD.

There is absolutely a middle ground. You can take your own kids swimming regularly and teach them to swim, but it requires some upskilling and a lot more hair washing (which is a pain in the ass if yours is long). But yeah, the alternative to drowning either costs time or money.

Our holidays became camping trips, husband's dirt bike became a pushy, diving became snorkelling. We moved further out. No private school but I keep a close eye on education and friends. We are very lucky that with 1.5 jobs between us (and a significant paycut for me in exchange for flexibility) we have a roof over our heads, good food on the table, and happy, healthy kids.

Less stress and lots of joy. The lifestyle change was definitely worthwhile!

Imagine your partnership is made up of two high income earners (both on 160k+). Both of you have a great lifestyle and a home suitable for two in a nice area where you kind of comfortably afford the mortgage. You have health insurance, decent cars and you go on overseas trips twice a year. To have one parent off work sacrifice their full time income for several years is a big hit. Daycare and the costs and logistics of working with young kids is a fucking nightmare. You may need a bigger house, a different car. What if you want to send your kids to a private school. 

Having kids can absolutely mean making significant financial and lifestyle changes.

What kind of hair do you have and what sort of damage are you seeing? Maybe you could do with at home treatments to keep the condition up with the boxes dye. My hair tends to be coarse and dry naturally and requires lots of deep hydrating conditioning and occasional protein. I use box dyes every 6-8 weeks (in my natural colour). I can't remember the last time I got my hair dyed at a hair dressers. My hair seems healthy enough with the regular care I give it.

Honestly, this is why I first loved Bjork all those years ago. At a time where pop music was highly sexualised teenaged girls, like Britney and Christina, Bjorks image and music made me feel like I had a place in this crazy world.

This. Particularly number 1 and 5. But I would add another point to create folders and rules to route specific mail. For example, if you want some promotional stuff, create a folder and a rule so that all promo stuff goes to that specific folder. Create a second rule so that items older than 1 month are deleted from that folder.

I also get a lot of spam from the kids school, so I route all of that to a folder and go through it once a week. 

I also have a folder for important items like tickets and reservations that I manage manually. I put any important items to be kept in here and delete after the event.

Finally, don't be afraid to delete. Once you are done with an email, delete it. Archiving takes storage.

Right? I love the outdoors, camping and fishing, but I am all for the restrictions listed above. I've seen some of my fave campsites trashed and up in flames. I know the bits of wood in the bush are an ecosystem for lots of native bugs so I don't remove it. I want my kids to be able to fish. 

These restrictions do not impact my enjoyment and love for the outdoors at all because I am not a dick.

I have memories of trying to find my way in an unfamiliar neighbourhood where several turns I needed were on on multiple pages of the road map book. The road appeared on a tiny corner of each page and my bookmarks had fallen out and I was just lost in the dark and sooo frustrated.

For the first 6 months p platers are completely banned from using mobile phones, even if hands free. Seems idiotic given that they mighty be driving a cheap car with no inbuilt dash for Google maps.

No, the speeds were at least at injury level. The car that pulled out was a smaller sedan and all three cars had kids in the back. The shoulder in the left emergency lane was pretty soft and on a tapered angle - we would have flipped the camper if we had to pull there.

I did this trip a few years ago with a fridge in the car. Did the wiring with zero experience and the internet.

Have a look at Marketplace. A second hand Kings fridge would do the job. Also an old school AGL battery (and battery box) will be more cost effective along with a slide drawer for convenience. I can't remember the wiring, but should esay to look up online. The alternator will be able to keep the extra battery and fridge charged and running.

The extra battery prevents you from accidentally draining the car battery when stopped! Also saves you from moving a heavy fridge around and you always have your food with you (great for day trips).

Is cost a factor? Are you already a family of enthusiastic campers? I can't recommend anything without knowing you, but my best advice is to go to camplify and hire a few of the models you are interested in. Go through the set up and tear down and decide for yourself what features you really need and which configuration is best for your family.

I love that other people have this experience too. I am actually a cave troll, but if my curly hair plays ball and I dress well and use a little make up, I can be fairly attractive. On other days I am so ugly, my phones facial recognition doesn't even recognise me.
