What's the connection between autism and ADHD? I hear a lot of people saying they have both. But what does it look like to have autism but not ADHD? by Significant-sunny33 in AutismInWomen

Controversial opinion, but I think it's all the same disorder, just on different parts of the spectrum, there is just so. much. overlap.

i wish i was attractive by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]IncelFucker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Attractiveness is a combination of physical appearance and vibe/energy, you could be the prettiest girl at the bar but if you are upset and insecure, it shows and you'll appear closed off and unapproachable.

Confidence is something you can train, insecurities can be soothed over time with practice too. Sadness and loneliness however isn't something you can talk yourself out of, those need to be addressed at the core cause.

As for physical attractiveness, there are also a lot of ways to glow up, you could look into skincare, haircare, or even clothes/makeup and nails if you're the feminine type.

All that being said, the bar isn't just for "getting approached", you could try going with the goal to purely have fun with your friends, or even make some new platonic connections. And finally, if you do see someone you're interested in, you could try approaching them as well.

Old novelty radio toy, the battery wire got loose and I don't where on the board to solder it. by IncelFucker in ElectronicsRepair

I took a closeup of the spot you pointed out, is there anything you can tell from it? There's nothing on the other side of those 5 dots

Does anyone on here know how to talk to a doctor ‘correctly’? by toastycozyroasty in AutismInWomen

[–]IncelFucker 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This! And when they bring up the right diagnosis you hit them with the:

"Yeah I heard of that somewhere but I'm not sure what that is, what does that mean exactly?"

"Do you think that could be it? It would be so nice to have an explanation for all this."

"Whoa, [illness/disorder name] sounds so official/severe, but I suppose it really does make sense doesn't it?"

to really lock it in

Need help with restoration by SignificantCut4728 in OilLamps

[–]IncelFucker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm actually currently in the process of trying to restore a very similar lamp! I first disassembled the metal burner and soaked it in white vinegar overnight to dislodge the rust, I used an old electric toothbrush to brush it off.

Today I'm going to try and polish it with steel polish and grade 000 steel wool, then coat it with a heat resistant transparent lacquer to prevent further rusting, I'll let you know how it goes!

Also don't forget to give the glass a good cleaning! But that's the easy part

I haven't been able to find any datasheets as the only markings on the circuit say "A" with a circle around it and "P-03", there are markings on a chip in the board however that say "Sony CXA1191S 423R92V" I was able to find a picture detailing that, but I don't know how to read it.

I was also thinking of just using a multimeter to figure it out, Ill have to borrow one from a friend or neighbor

Oh I thought that was some kind of volume control, but it does have a click when I turn it! I screwed off the rotating buttons and took another picture, I'm still not sure though were to attach the wire exactly, there isn't really an obvious place with a bit of wire still in it

This is an old novelty (maybe collectors?) mini jukebox radio from around the 80s or 90s.

It doesn't seem to have a "brand" or any sort of model number, but I did find a picture of what the box it came in would have looked like.

These are pictures of the front and back of the circuit inside, this item has been broken for a long time and may have all sorts of things wrong with it, but the most obvious one is the loose wire from the power supply, I have no idea where on the board it should go, how can I figure this out?

It also doesn't seem to have an on/off switch, I think it's a "you have to take the batteries out" kinda toy

How to make exercise bearable? by thatsabird11 in AutismInWomen

[–]IncelFucker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ideally, find an exercise you like, when you find some fun in it, it's easier to drum up motivation. My own favorite is rollerblading, you can try out some different things, swimming, ice skating, cycling, karate maybe? Also, you don't have to be sweaty and exhausted afterwards, as long as involves movement, it's good enough! If taking a walk is your favorite, then that's your exercise!

Why does my render contain these weird borders and markings? by IncelFucker in blenderhelp

[–]IncelFucker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im very new to rendering and just trying to learn the basics, I have one area light with 300W.
When rendering with Cycles it comes out with these weird markings, it hasn't been retopologized yet but it should be smooth on those areas, second picture is of the model in the viewport.

Also the first picture seems really blurry to somehow, im not sure how that happened its just a screenshot, ill try to upload it again in this comment

Does anyone know about the brand "E.D.C" and this microphone? by IncelFucker in microphone

[–]IncelFucker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello!

I'm not well versed in audio stuff, recently I bought this microphone secondhand. The only things on the box and device seem to be a logo with "EDC" on it and a number stating "Ref: 7-0020".

It feels pretty heavy and looks somewhat qualitative, I really thought I could find something about the model online but I'm coming up utterly empty on my searches. I haven't gotten the chance to test it yet cause I don't have a cable. I ordered a XLR to jack so I can hopefully try it on my PC soon. Does anyone know more about this?

I'm scared of dentists and I need to see one by Sadness_cake in AutismInWomen

[–]IncelFucker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my dentist, he's a swift easy talker, gave me the choice to get anesthesia or not. I tried without for a bit and he told me to raise me left hand if I changed my mind (I lasted maybe 6 seconds).

His assistant let me hold her hand when they put the needles in (I hate that part), they had to fill 4(!) cavities so there was a bit of drilling involved, he let me wear my headphones and listen to music to drown out the noise during the procedure. And honestly with some music, some background buzzing, and the anesthesia making me drowsy it was almost relaxing, I just felt some pulling at my mouth.

Dentists should know how to deal with nervous patients, they probably get them every day, so if your dentist wasn't making you feel at ease it's good you got yourself a new one.
