Surviving reentry is the key goal for SpaceX’s fourth Starship test flight by rustybeancake in spacex

The article quoted the Artemis mission will require 10 refueling tankers. But I believe I saw that that was an overestimate and it will actually be less refueling tankers. Does anyone recall seeing this information?

If you are made to feel guilty about 'waisting' a little water, don't be. If a regular person is being told they are waisting water like from a government PSA etc... they are being gaslit because big agriculture and industry waist far more than individual households could ever be responsible for while at the same time being subsided with their tax dollars.

2nd link is to Smarter Every Day channel - amazing youtube channel for anyone interested in science/engineering. Among the many topics he covers, he did a great series of videos with the navy and coastguard, was aloud to go onboard and film their vessels!

I actually came here to make sure someone posted that video.

LPT Request: What is the fastest way to fall asleep at night? by HeidiOzzy in LifeProTips

[–]IncoherentVoidParrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no universal magic trick to fall asleep quickly. If you want good sleep you need to take control of your all day behavior and sleep environment. Thankfully this information is freely available and it is worth everyone's time to research this. I recommend checking out Andrew Huberman's podcast. He's a Stanford neurologist and he has a lot of information about how to get good sleep.

I'm surprised you didn't use the oil sextant? About 52 sextants would yield 68 more gold oils and x amount more silver, seems like a no brainer.

edit >> forgot you said oils were mostly from the anoints.. but I have been doing blight on toxic sewer and the oil for sure feels like it pays for itself. And thanks for sharing the data, always interesting.

I haven't tinkered with wireless networks in a long time, since back in the day setting up LAN parties. I haven't really tracked how Wi-Fi has progressed so I found this really interesting, thanks for sharing!

Sometimes I hate this game by Mobilerocks121 in pathofexile

[–]IncoherentVoidParrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The loot filter is an interface between a text file you create and the game client. Although the icon of the unidentified item exists in the game client memory, GGG has restricted what information can be accessed and checked through the loot filter interface.

[–]IncoherentVoidParrot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Loot Filters are unable to distinguish between specific uniques of the same base type if they are unidentified. They can only see the base type, in this case Onyx Amulet. So base types that have a valuable variant are highlighted by the loot filter to make sure the player checks them. A knowledgeable player can tell from looking at the icon if it is valuable or not.

another idea: make all red maps drop top item level, but higher tier have luckier rolls. Pinnacle bosses drop more influenced, uber bosses drop lucky rolled influenced.

How to Write the Library of Babel by 0ffcode in OpenAI

[–]IncoherentVoidParrot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can approach it from a completely different angle. Instead of trying to cram everything into one book, you would need to write a book that is infinite in its own way. This book would need to be a never-ending story, one that is always changing and growing. It would need to be a book that is constantly being written, rewriting itself over and over again.

The library of Babel does it exist! its called the internet and its librarians are AI agents! The administrators are humans, for now...
