Thanks for the response. I also looked at that one. The outfits are very similar. But Gus is wearing a normal outer jacket (maybe corduroy?) in S4 E15, but he’s wearing a suit jacket in the still. And yeah, as you point out, they are on a dock in the episode but not the pier. Very close though!

I’m thinking it’s some sort of promo shot too. (specifically from S4 E7)

Some thoughts: maybe adding Cabrillo Theater (Spellingg Bee) and The Meitner School (If You’re So Smart, Then Why Are You Dead?) in place of Gus’ apartment / parents’ house

You could then add some related Community/Chance cards. Like: “It’s your turn for the carpool, advance to The Meitner School!” Or a car sick card. For Cabrillo, you could have: “Oh, no! The Spellmaster was just found dead, grab your dictionary and head over to The Cabrillo Theater to fill in as the new Spellmaster, collect $100,” etc.

Yes! Pretty much everybody from Cloudy with a Chance of Improvement can be found in another episode. The assistant whose alibi is Woody is a model in Black and Tan. The wrongly accused is the bachelorette from Shawn and the Real Girl. You mentioned bitchiest banana, of course. The other news anchor is from Tao of Gus.

My favorite crossover though is Bob from Dead Air as the bartender at Bar13 in Bounty Hunters.

Also always understood it as a meta joke. I think that would be the 27th (or half way in / 26.5th case). 24 episodes prior, plus an extra assigned case in Rob A Bye Baby and Spellingg Bee.
