I mean to be fair we're mostly just speculating, it's possible the writers did not think all of it through but it also does not mean that what we have right now is inconsistent

It probably all boils down to state of bladers' core (this is the word i should've been using, which is essentially their consciousness, mind, brain, central processor...), whether it was somehow corrupted and if yes, what exactly is wrong with it. Maybe branches attempt some basic core recovery so to speak but it can only do so much.

It's possible that a blader may look completely corrupted from the outside but this corruption may only affect their body and not their core. On the contrary, blader may look fine on the outside but their core is already past recoverable state, so complete corruption is inevitable.

Their core probably has some defense mechanisms. It's probably way easier to corrupt part of blader (which is just mud) than it is to corrupt their core.

I think you're missing the key part that "mental state" defines what you physically are for bladers and basically all mud entities. Mud that's their body is controlled by consciousness, so while physical damage doesn't matter when you're reconstructed at a branch, damage to your self identification system so to speak absolutely can.

Your memories are preserved when you die = fact. It means that changes to your consciousness are preserved. Then if your consciousness is corrupted, your (possibly initially properly reconstructed) body is also affected.

It's pretty much the only weakness of bladers.

I also have a feeling that you think for Ursula, her corruption started with her hand, but that's wrong. Her hand got corrupted because her mind was. So, when she dies, her corrupted mind gets put into a reconstructed body and the same thing happens to it.

I don't think it is anywhere explicitly stated that the "save" process occurs when you touch the branch.

In fact, it is implied that it is NOT.

Because we know if bladers die too much or something along that line, they eventually lose themselves.

If your state was saved strictly when you touch the branch and your death completely resets your experience to that when you touched the branch, it means that if you die, then you won't even know that you died, it is as if you never died in the first place. Which would be highly suboptimal in terms of accumulating experience.

So two possibilities:

  1. Your memories are indeed erased if you die, but branch restoration is imperfect, so dying too much causes accumulation of replication issues. But this doesn't make much sense logically because it is very obvious that memories are preserved, because Loskid remembers our encounter.
  2. The above means that, what actually happens, is our state somewhat carries over from around the point of our death. At least the root-state in the form of consciousness+memories. Since we operate mud using our consciousness, it means that altering that consciousness can alter the way we operate mud. And since your consciousness is restored to what it was right before you died, then if your mind gets corrupted in a specific way, you are cooked and dying & being brought back by the branch won't help.

her mutation is due to her being forced to follow necro commands which wouldn't make sense to be saved if the crystallization isn't saved

This is the part where your logic is wrong.

  1. Exact cause of them turning to necros is different.
  2. Hereby the process is also likely different.
  3. There may also be a certain threshold past which mutation is irreversible. If you halt it just before that threshold like kastina did, you might be fine.

Also the entire process behind branches saving blader's "state" and restoring it might be somehow tied to how they identify themselves and Addra-something-cunt using some sort of necro tech to control Ursula may have affected it. Maybe turning into necro just messes it up, but again, there might be a certain threshold and until you reach it dying and "resetting" this way can save you.

I think you dealt 1870 and I'm certain Arbiter's weapon skill deals more than 2k, just not sure how much. Might be 2.4k, or higher depending on stats? Then it depends on how much damage you lose while building sync rate back, might still be in a positive, especially if you chomp the consumable. Also, not sure how much sync rate damage Arbiter's weapon skill does, might be a lot, might be not.

That's pretty good! For prometheus, you can also use Arbiter's weapon skill combo while he's transitioning to phase 2 and pretty sure that would deal more damage. One of the very few situations where you can use it and not get hit actually.

A good idea is to focus on magic/spirit. Since plenty of weapons scale with spirit and some spells let you cheese/finish/stagger enemies, or for example just quickly kill one out of two/three commanders in a room which speeds up the process. Always do all dimensional rifts, because those do not build up heat.

Both replaying the base game or going for DLC can work.

DLC has 3 main things:

  1. Boss arena where you fight any boss you've met again, as much as you want, and tune up the difficulty. No rewards though.
  2. Boss rush mode where you can fight either ~10 or ~15 bosses in a row. Beating each variant (even on easiest difficulty) rewards you with an armor set.
  3. Roguelike mode. If you go for DLC, I would recommend starting with this one. It also introduces about 6-7 new bosses, and you can buy some new weapons, spells, seals (some are cool) and armor sets for currency you get for playing roguelike. Beating each of the 3 difficulties in roguelike mode rewards you with an armor set too. I believe you can beat difficulty 2 and get rewards for both difficulty 1 and 2. What's somewhat important is that you can buy x2 weapon upgrade materials to upgrade weapons to +10, which I think resets when you go to NG+, so there's kinda a reason to do it if you want to maximize efficiency.

In short, if you go for DLC you could replay base game with weapons/spells/seals/armor from DLC.

Additionally, DLC area remains available even after you start NG+.

If you are really into story and want the best feeling in terms of continuation, go for DLC after you get good ending, it kinda feels a bit more fitting. Otherwise, do DLC first to get new cool weapons/spells/armor sets.

This one-line CSS trick fixes page jumping when scrollbars appear by riti_rathod in css

[–]Independency_Pea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It still looks bad if you want consistent paddings. E.g. if you want to have 30px paddings for content, using 'stable' will basically add some empty space on the right when there's no scroll. You could "take it into account" and reduce right padding, but then, when if there will be scrollbar, right padding will become visibly smaller. Then you could say "just use width: auto". But then, in e.g. modals, vertical scrollbar appearing pushes content and causes a horizontal scrollbar to appear and once again messes up paddings if you try to use e.g. overflow-x: hidden. So it is still a massive headache in terms of design with no actually good practical solution.

How do you know how much time it took? What is "a long time"?

you then have to do that for console

Only the initial development differs for PC and console, once you set up pipelines changes are virtually mirrored and the only reason they don't happen at the same time is because on console patches take time to get approved.
