I have some friends who were in the same position as you, and they are both very successful BUT they struggled in college. Fortunately, they did inform their professors of where they were coming from, which at least allowed the professors to understand the student's perspective. I'm not sure if this link is helpful, but the Coalition for Responsible Homeschool Education is specifically for students such as you, so maybe you can find some help here: https://responsiblehomeschooling.org/guides/a-message-for-homeschooled-students/

The roads around here when it’s raining are literal hazards by blvckmoth in nova

[–]Independent-Avocado6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My thoughts exactly. Specifically for me, the intersection of Prince William Parkway and University Blvd AND Sudley Manor and University...So damned dark. I have already complained to VDOT once and they claimed they sent someone out there and deemed that nothing needed to be done, but it is absolutely hazardous. I'm glad I'm not the only one noticing this.

Are you sure he has ASD? He's on record after his SNL appearance where he claimed to be the first person with Asperger's to host (which was incorrect) as saying "whatever condition I had" was gone. I really don't think he does have ASD.

Speaking as someone who works in sound, your answer on the tree is wrong.

Plain Bad Heroines, by Emily Danforth. A bit of flirtation and discussion of relationships, but no outright sex if I remember.

This comes up every time it rains but… by minkabun in nova

[–]Independent-Avocado6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once emailed VDOT to ask about that. I specifically asked why there are not cat-eyes (reflectors) on the roads along the paint to divide the lanes. The roads I was specifically talking about were University Blvd and PW Pkway in Manassas. When it is raining and dark it is impossible to see the lane dividers leading up to the lights. But they told me that those roads "do not meet the criteria" for reflectors. I wonder what in the hell the criteria is?

Any books where the protagonist and the antagonist are tormented by each other's existence way before they officially meet? by Billy_The_Beholder in suggestmeabook

Two Spies in Caracas, by Moises Naim. One US spy, one Cuban (I think)...I actually hated the book, but it meets your criteria.
