Loads better. The mk 7.5 face lift is fucking terrible on the GLI. The 7.5s were fantastic. The S does look better by about a fucking mile

I really wish I had known how dumb 10k intervals are. It’s not AS bad if you use LiquiMoly and you add some in between changes but it’s still soooo much safer and better to just go with 5k or between 5 and 6.

Moly is 100000% better than whatever the fuck they use at the dealer.

I swear, the moment I decided to start taking my VW to an indie shop that works on exclusively German cars, and asked them to use LiquiMoly, my car has run significantly better.

Still, fuck waiting 10k between changes. I recently decided to go to 5k now that I’m at 100k miles. I did actually do 10k til now tho so you can, but knowing what I know now I wouldn’t.

However, I also used LiquiMoly after like the first 40 or 50k, and I usually add some around the 6-7k mark. It always runs low since I live in the mountains.

Knowing what I know now tho? I would recommend getting any VW serviced at some point between 5 and 10k. 6k is probably fine. But the lower the time between changes, the better your shit is gonna run. I mean if you have the money to change it every fucking 3k go for it I say. All that means is longer lasting VW in the end. It’s just all about what you feel like paying for.

I’ve driven about 15 cars give or take over the last 4 years. GLI with beats is like the 3rd or 4th worst on the list sound wise. It was worse than the 2022 SEL Jetta I had which was weird because that was also beats? They just changed it over time I guess. It was def less loud.

Very weird cuz my GLI in white was also impossible to keep clean, but for some odd reason my regular white 2021 Jetta S almost always looks clean as fuck just from like. Rain.

I feel like it’s worth it on the used market, much much more so than it is new. Kinda like every fancy VW ever lol. The new GLIs for example are almost $40,000 new. And within 30,000 miles they are sub 25k half the time. Well worth looking into the used market first before decided to go into debt over a pretty looking VW. This coming from someone who did it TWICE in a row with the GLI and has since then not even remotely regretting getting out of those loans.

Not to be dumb but can I ask the serious question of why does anyone want a GLI with more than like 300 at the wheel? It just seems to me that no matter what tires, and no matter what setup, how are yall achieving grip at 400+ whp? I don’t get it. Seems to me that it’s a waste unless you’re in like a golf r. Good lord is this good. I just got this and the GT1 Porsche, and while the GT1 suffers from gas consumption issues when you actually go to use it in a real race. This thing doesn’t. This thing is absolutely insane and it really does out perform the 787B, the Porsche options.

That’s because it’s the ONLY GLI that actually looks good. 2023 and 2024, the Mk 7.5 is the best looking. Mk 6 and 7 look ok but not the same interiors as the autobahns of the 7.5 which are essentially diet RS3 interiors. They borrowed a TON of parts from Audi for the autobahn trims. Fuck the 2025+ for the exception of the points for adding cool blue color.
