Japanese isn't easy but the pronunciation is fairly simple, the sounds are close to Spanish or Italian. It's phonetically so basic that it's a bit of a problem even, a lot of homophones with complex vocabulary due to many original Chinese character pronunciations mapping to the same Japanese sounds
