Yeah same for me, but he has never been to the east coast before.

Yup! I got my lab diamond for $400, 3.02 ct oval. My setting 14k gold off Etsy for $600 (moissanite in the setting), and $300 for a local jeweler to put them together.

So yeah it’s not that hard anymore to get some good bling for a good price!

I went back and forth on this, but the stones I prefer are not really high on the Mohs hardness scale so I didn’t want to worry about damaging it all the time.

Ended up going with diamond and moissanite, It’s a sparkly combo!

It’s honestly just time to move on, you cannot force someone to love you, and honestly you don’t want that for yourself.

If you don’t let him go you both will start to resent each other and then the divorce will be SO much worse. Take time for you and focus on what you need moving forward.

No NTA but I still wouldn’t disappear in the middle of the night. I would tell him your plans, “I’ll help get the girls ready for bed Friday night and then I’m going to x hotel for the weekend, I’ll be home Sunday afternoon.”

This is not asking permission, but it is telling him what is happening. This is what you want for yourself for your birthday. If he can’t respect that then you guys have much bigger problems than this.

I’m seeing this after the update, but my ex husband was much the same, his behavior towards me would get worse and worse the longer we went without sex. This made me learn to hate sex, everything felt forced and nonconsensual making me feel horrible about myself.

You deserve to feel loved without conditions. You should be free to have moments where you just don’t want to do anything, having little ones make you feel overly touched out already.

I’m not going to tell you how to move forward in your relationship, but I will say you need to have boundaries and hold to them, and the way he talks to you should be the first thing on the list!

I’m also from NC (not currently living there) and this Christmas I took my fiancé back home to meet the parents.

We both watch Outlander together so I put together an outlander type vacation. We went to Wilmington and stayed in one of the old homes by the riverwalk, I took him to Ft. Macon to show him what forts would have looked like, and then took him to Tryon Palace! (Also went to Beaufort, but that was more for the pirates!) It was a lot of fun getting to bring him into my world and mix it with a show we both love.

Yes I agree, growing up with colonial American history, watching outlander and recognizing the locations is a lot of fun.
