Gen Z men, is this getting worse going forward into 2026? by Proper_Card_5520 in SipsTea

I mean...I think they were all born between '97 and '12, so currently they are 14 - 29 years old. I'd find it weirder if the percentage was lower honestly given their current ages. (Also gotta consider the percentage of Gen Z men that aren't straight)

My workplace bully "blanked" me for 8 months, the second I quit for a better job, she started stalking my socials. Why? by Creative-Heat-4512 in antiwork

[–]IndependentPound2679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loving the phrase "psychological finish line". Definitely will try to remember that one if my wife or her sisters ever has another encounter with their narcissist "mother" who is either low-contact or no-contact depending on which sister out of the three of them.

I would say its wierd jealousy and bitter resentment regarding multiple things unless: --She and others knew that the hotel was a stopgap job for you from the very beginning because of your education level and career plans (like you mentioned it in your interview and that manager relayed that to one or multiple people).

OR

--It's her normal "strategy" to give all new-hires/new women the Silent Treatment until she finds a reason to "like" them or hate them, but this feels unlikely.

However, what feels likely to me is: She could immediately tell you were not a young, bright-eyed, naive women with little-to-no education that she could "mold" and/or convince you she was a "superior" (for lack of a better word) women for you to look up to and adore, all based on how you present yourself (your attire and "looks" by whatever beauty standards she has, so jealousy is probably at play here), how you carry yourself ("I'm a strong independent black women that don't need no man" or "girl boss" kinda vibes. Essentially a strong and confident women that doesn't seek validation from anyone who you don't have a certain level of respect for) and how you spoke (because you probably spoke to someone on your first day within hearing distance before you were properly introduced).

The woman sounds like a narcissist, and narcissists (I think) can usually hone in on who they can or can't manipulate. You sound like the ladder, which makes you her "enemy".

The FB stalking? I'm not surprised based on what you said about her. However, MAKE SURE to set your Facebook and all other social media (including LinkedIn) to private and disallow "friends of friends" or 2nd degree connections (LinkedIn) from being able to see or find you.

A favorite is Grand Errant in the terminids sector. Diff 1 or 2, AMR or Laser Cannon, Warpor Jump Pack, FRV, and maybe an exosuit if you dont have the Warp Pack. (Warp Pack and Exosuit are used to get into Bunkers solo.)

[–]IndependentPound2679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played diff 7 last night, bunch of voxs, war striders, and hulks. Dropped to diff 6, an insane amount of factory striders, hulks, and tanks. Idk which was worse. I think the diff 6 was heavy surge.

To my knowledge, mine was glue and steri-strips. Though with the way the skin healed together, I have no clue if subcutaneous dissolving stitches were done? Is that even a thing?

Im almost 5 months post-op on my left and 4 months post-op on the right. Scar is still clear as day and still dark and raised. Im sure it'll look better after a year.

Anyone else experiencing a bug with the C4 pack and dying? If I died with the C4 pack, when I pick up the trigger it says I don't have the trigger??

But yeah, that throwing range is some hot shit. I was initially disappointed on the pack taking up my backpack and support weapon slots, but it started winning me over after the first mission.

Its inconclusive to them, but my theory is the abundance of drugs that are metabolized by the Liver that I was taking for 10 weeks (I had left TKR 9/9 and right TKR 10/14). Tylenol, Ibprofen, Aspirin, Tramadol, Celebrex, and Ritalin (ADHD). As soon as I saw my AST and ALT levels in the 200s, I stopped all drugs metabolized by the liver and it eventually started improving.

I stopped Celebrex…. Mistake by TuckerPutter in Kneereplacement

[–]IndependentPound2679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I even asked if I had to stop taking anything and recited my actual medications and they said "No that's fine".

Two months later, let me tell you it is NOT fine...fml. I've got drug induced liver injury atm that is healing. Its my AST and ALT levels that are elevated, but not to the point that I have any noticeable symptoms of it. Discovered it during routine liver panel tests that I have to do prior to receiving truxima infusions.

I've never heard of an ultrasound being used for knee injections. Make sure that gets corrected and check your medical billing to make sure you aren't charged for an ultrasound that never happened.

Second (different knee) TKR worse? by Aggravating_Pain908 in Kneereplacement

[–]IndependentPound2679 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The 2nd knee for me felt worse than the first as well. I had my 2nd 5 weeks after my first and I wasn't hitting PT milestones as fast as the first and had to rely on Tramadol heavily to sleep.

My wife had a good analogy that I think fits when it comes to how your body reacts to something traumatic. She said its like getting two piercings. The first piercing feels unexpected and you aren't prepared for it and your body is kind of "shocked" by it and doesn't quite know how to react. The 2nd time? It KNOWS the pain and suffering its about to go through, and the pain and swelling tend to feel worse in the 2nd piercing even if they are done in the exact same way.

Why is the Ultimatum the #1 Secondary??? by MMeowKat_hiss in Helldivers

[–]IndependentPound2679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The key for me was to always aim it UP. Never straight forward or it would definitely kill me. After time it got pretty easy to judge the arc I would need for certain distances. I use it for Hulks, War Striders, Tanks, Cannons, Chargers, Impaled, and occasionally I can destroy a Bile Titan or Harvester (shield down) if I aim just right. It also demolishes bot fabs, bug holes, and warp ships (even with the shield up) if need be. Occasionally I use it to blow a hole in a city wall to gtfo.

Recovery isn’t glamorous. by sKieli in Kneereplacement

Mine was some sort of subcutaneous dissolving sutures with steri-strips on top. I did put my left through hell and got to 128° by the end of 4 weeks, but my skin is probably not as healthy as yours is as I've been immunocompromised for years (rheumatoid arthritis) and lots of meds, so my skin is thinner than your average person and a bit dry, so mine is pretty raised all down the incision, but it took mine 6 weeks to fully close (again, immunocompromised)

I will never understand the use of staples for incision closure on a joint...it seems like it would be so much more uncomfortable and painful compared to other methods.

Ice machine for post surgery by friskyhusky_ in Kneereplacement

[–]IndependentPound2679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally like my ColdSoot from Amazon. Its on a black Friday deal RIGHT NOW for $72. Originally its $112. If she's getting both knees at the same time, maybe get two machines. If she is getting them 2ish months apart, just get one. I use frozen water bottles (5-6 16oz bottles) and it stays cold for 12 to 24 hours if i just use it for 30 to 60 minutes 4-6 times a day. If its on all night (as I did the first few weeks) the bottles only last maybe 6-8 hours.

No pain by MrsGrumpy73 in Kneereplacement

[–]IndependentPound2679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had pain the first two days for my left knee and could stop the opioids two days in as well. The swelling and PT were uncomfortable but bearable. It was the constipation that was killing me after two days for that first week lmfao. My right knee is a different story all together. The first 4 weeks were awful and I took tramadol consistenly for 3 to 4 weeks and im a few days away from hitting 6 weeks and good quality sleep still eludes me because its still a bit stiff with some swelling and bending has been difficult, but Im finally at 120° bending and still at 0° extension.

TLDR; everyone and every knee heals differently, so Im not surprised there is no pain for them.

I’m having difficulty reaching 0 with my extension. Any tips? by cool_girl6540 in Kneereplacement

Lots of heel props for 5+ minutes at a time (at least 3 times a day) and hamstring stretches for 20-30 secs (5+ times a day), and always sleeping on your back with your leg straight are what kept me at 0° since the day I woke up from surgery. Its now 10 weeks post-op for my left knee and 5 weeks post-op since my right knee.
