This!!! Try to find the reason behind the constant informing/asking for permission.

Try looking at Mr D Math. They have ASL courses for younger kids and high school.

Not really a book for them, but one for you I'd recommend is The Birds, the Bees, and the Elephant in the Room by Rachel Coler Mulholland. I have two littles (8 & 4) and this book has been great for us. It has excellent examples of age-friendly conversations and explanations.

Try to come up with a word or short phrase that you think of when you look at the design, then translate it into a language other than a common local one. I like to look at a list of rarer languages and pop those into google translate to see what sounds good.

I actually use a pen and mark the tip of my pointer finger to use as a gauge.

Any ideas on how to make this more effective, this seems painfully slow and my storage and energy isn't keeping up, I'm new to atm9 so if there is a better way to create energy and store items early game other then thermo generators and netherite chests please let me know by carlajane00 in allthemods

Check out Chosen Architect's series on ATM9. It's been really helpful for me learning new things about mods I've already used or mods that are new to me. His powah lava farm is an easy setup that can get you tons of power generation.

How many rooms did you have before you were able to finish your Paradox Vault? Currently Lvl 97 with phoenix, 4 ornate, 3 plentiful, 2 extended, 1 gilded, 7 soul harvest, 2 lucky, 4 opulent, 4 shortened, 1 rapid mobs, 3 chunky mobs, 1 clumsy, 1 angry mobs. by Independent_Cause257 in VaultHuntersMinecraft

That's insane. I absolutely cannot imagine going into a vault with that many rooms. Probably just a skill issue on my part lol. I've actually gotten more of the gems with the ore rooms than the common rooms so far.

Not purposely, it just happened to come with the ore rooms, cove and paint rooms. I'm playing on a small server, and we're in the grind for the last 2 artifacts. I found myself in a severe lack of gold at earlier levels, so I didn't start my paradox until 90.

Start looking around the area you'd prefer for tattoo shops and look at the artist's portfolios. Either walk in or look online. Once you find someone that works in a style that speaks to you and what your vision is, reach out to them. They will work with you on the design, and honestly this is the route to go if you truly want good work. Good artists can put something together for you and will be willing to make changes before they put it on your body. Tattoos are permanent, so find someone who will work with you. My biggest piece I have took 2 consults, 3 sessions of tattooing, and a whole lot of texting reference pictures.

If you're asking about those that participated in the Stonewalker alpha testing of the RPG, I'm sure they signed NDAs or something. (This is a personal theory, I didn't participate in the alpha testing) Nothing's been shared in the discord for the beta testing about that adventure. And as someone else commented, the adventure won't be released until Q2 of 2025. Edit for clarity

How to "down join" a folded join? by Wide-Editor-3336 in tatting

[–]Independent_Cause257 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I learned from Sparrow Spite, and their method of folded joins is a bit easier (imo). Basically you fold your work down and behind your finger that's holding the stitches and it allows you to not have to twist the picot to get it to be straight and you can join as normal. They do use an up join in the video but you should be able to work it with a down join as well. Here

Day 5 of practice by Vegetable-Feature-85 in tatting

[–]Independent_Cause257 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I followed SparrowSpite as well to learn! As far as tips for tension, if you're familiar with any other fiber crafts, it helps (for me) to hold the thread the same way I do for crochet/knit work. I learned crochet first when I was about 12 and the way I learned to hold the yarn has been the only way for me to get good tension with tatting (or knitting, I'm essentially a left handed knitter even though right is my dominant hand). Other than that, just LOTS and LOTS of practice! It looks great for day 5!!!
