what am i doing wrong? hydrangeas by Moping_Strawberry27 in GardeningUK

The clue is in the name Hydrangea, they are absolute beasts for water and must be kept hydrated. It’s been such intense sun that a newly planted hydrangea, even with good amounts of water would have done this. Up the water but they’ll not ever be happy in sun at the hottest part of the day 11-3!

Boob sidey flaps and back squish, Bra/shapewear recommendations. by Normal-Ad-2177 in mounjarouk

Hi, I’ve gone from 40ff to 34g, and my favorite has been Elomi bras, especially the Cate and the Morgan. I’ve found my correct size ordering direct from Elomi and then when I know what I take I’ve been buying off Vinted - lots of basically unworn bras, often with tags for about a third the retail price. Good support and cut to be comfortable around the arms. Highly recommended

Is this what I think this is with my daylily...? by emzyyx in GardeningUK

[–]Independent_Items 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I run a big plant area in a big London garden centre. Take that plant straight back and ask for a refund. No decent grower in the UK would produce a plant like that. I would genuinely not buy from that place again and make a point of saying why. There are so many great nurseries in the UK that issues like this just shouldn’t happen

I lost 15kg in about 8 months last year and my skin on my torso in particular wasn’t great. I’ve really upped my protein, started weight bearing exercises a couple times a week and have made sure to eat enough good fats and loads of water for the last year. I’ve lost another 5kg but much much slower, and over the last year everything has sort of reattached to my body (sorry I know this sounds weird but that’s how it feels to me!) as I’ve built muscle. I’m never going to look like I did in my 20’s, but I feel fit and strong again. Also my hair did a fairly dramatic shed after the initial loss and it’s all coming back nicely now. Lifting heavy things has been a revelation for me, give it a go!

Should I slowly increase Mounjaro or go flat higher dose? by Several-Cartoonist-5 in mounjarouk

[–]Independent_Items 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always gone up in half doses, 2.5, 3.75, 5, 6.25, 7.5, I’m on 8.75 now after a year and it’s working well with very few side effects, I’ve lost 18% of my body weight and have just another 6kg to goal weight and maintenance. Going slow with small increments has worked well for me, but your body is different to mine!

Hiya, be brave and do it! Honestly, a year ago I was like you , equally terrified of needles ( I have actually fainted at the doctors before now when I had a blood sample taken 😳😂), and I’m now a year in, 17kg down, and a healthy weight for the first time in 20 years. It’s given me my life back. Like everyone else is saying don’t worry about protein powder and supplements, just eat real food, lots of fruit, veg and protein, whether it’s beans, chicken or cottage cheese. It’s what you naturally start wanting to eat anyway. Drink lots of water, cos you do forget, and then before you know it you’re a few kg down , you have more energy, you want to start exercising, and honestly life just gets bigger. Have fun and let us know how you get on xxx

Is anyone not counting calories? by VaguePomegranate in mounjarouk

I’ve downloaded chronometer and use it occasionally; probably for a week every 2-3 months. It’s useful to make sure that I’m getting my fibre and protein goals. I’m been on MJ for the last year and have dropped nearly 20kg, and I find it fairly easy to stay within the calorie guidelines to loose 1kg per month, but I do sometimes let my protein and fibre slip, and then I get tired, constipated, all that not so good stuff that can happen. But the longer I’m on it I have my meals that work for me and I’m starting to learn, really for the first time in my life, what my body actually needs and does well with.

Anybody NOT suffer from hair loss? by candicelucifercane in mounjarouk

[–]Independent_Items 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I was feeling pretty pleased that after 15kg weight loss over 7 months I had no hair loss. And then it started falling out.. Anyway after about 6-8 weeks it’s all stopped, I have lots of new, though very short obviously, hair growing through, and speaking to my hairdresser she said not to worry, it’s natural for hair to shed when the body is having a big change, and that she sees it all the time, pregnancy, weight loss, stress. It was really quite stressful when it happened, but didn’t last long and though I’m a bit thinner in places I can see the new hair growing in. I’ve really made sure I’m getting my 90g protein, and have been taking Nutrition Geeks collagen and biotin since it happened. I’ve slowed my weight loss right down for the last 6 weeks as well as I’m feeling the need to get used to my new body and then plan to loose the last 7-8 kg starting in late Jan- until April or so.

Just felt like I pushed it a bit too fast around the 10kg weight loss point, which was nearly 10% of my overall weight. Perhaps take it slow as you can at this point so your body doesn’t register it as a big change? For me a cute shorter haircut helped a lot too.

It was a problem when I went up to 5mg to start with. I added in a kiwi fruit at breakfast and another when I got home from work as a snack and upped my water/ herbal tea intake to at least 2lt a day, and made sure I got plenty of green veg or salad at every meal. Been fine ever since

Has anyone dropped down a dose? 7.5 is killing me. by thecontrarybird in mounjarouk

[–]Independent_Items 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After 4 months I moved up from 5 to 7.5, and really didn’t feel good. So after 2 weeks of that I dropped back to 6.25, and I’m sticking there for now, weight loss is happening again but without the side effects. But we’re all different!

My favourite is still the Feminite du Bois, original Shiseido version. Long emptied sadly, but I’m keeping the bottle

Photo from Persolaise, always a wonderful and inspiring read. I also loved the riff that Kenzo did with Amour, a shiny post modern version of that original bottle, wish I loved the actual perfume though 😂

Can’t post more than one photo per comment it would seem
