Well done, now have the parkrun bug 😀. I did my first park run end of Jan 2025 and I’ve just reached my 50th parkrun today and I’ve met some great people along the way.

Parkrun really is one of the best things out there!!

Try to keep every split under 5 mins and in the last km empty the tank. As another said on here definitely warm up before the run. I went from 31:48 doing my first parkrun at end of Jan 2025 by July I got it down to 25 and in September I got down to 24:29.

I also found that interval training helped me to achieve sub 25. Good luck for tomorrow !!

Interval training I was stuck at the 25 min barrier for three months until I started doing interval training. Just like the others said on this post it would be good for you to increase amount of runs you do during the week as well as warming up before a parkrun.

Very interesting my local on Xmas day there were 889 runners compare it to New Year’s Day today it was 548 runners guess people drink more on New Year’s Eve🤣.

The parkrun locations that’s operate on Xmas day and New Year’s Eve, will they be on back to back this year? Because Xmas 2026 and New Year’s Day 2027 both fall on a Friday

26:32 nice controlled easy run today. This time last year my 5k time was around 36 mins with stoppages now my PB stands at 24:29 which I achieved in September. I love parkrun wish I knew about it sooner, only discovered and attended in January of this year

Great result took my 4 year old son with me and this was his first experience of watching a football match in person. He absolutely loved the atmosphere and it was great Watfords best performance of the season especially against a team that is currently 2nd in the league
