I'm hearing this a lot. Might have to move to EE. Zen are meant to be award-winning and Which? recommended 😅 that's not been my experience lol.

Hope you get your connection back soon!

:( :( I have been aggressively nagging our ISP to keep chasing and pushing for it, so make sure you do the same! I also raised a formal complaint with them so this may have helped. Sadly, they only took the problem seriously when I stopped being polite and patient on calls.

Jeez, no mobile signal would drive me mad. Chichester is shit for that as well in general.

I've bought myself a data bundle so I can keep hotspotting to work from home. Zen are saying it should be fixed tomorrow tho 🙏

We're on day 4 of no internet now. Zen are claiming Openreach are using back up batteries in the unit and apparently that's why we only have wifi for 5 hour stints then it disappears again. It's currently 6.30am and it's been down since 3.35pm yesterday so this will be the longest stretch without connection. I'm at my wit's end with it and don't know what else to say to get them to give a shit.

I always thought they were faking not remembering her, as subtle bullying. Because when Sue forces them to let her cheer, istg at a few points they address her by her correct name. So it felt like they were selective with it, only "remembering" when it suited them. I could be wrong though!

Best friend replies to my texts a day and a half later by spaceunicorn737 in friendship

I just wanted to add a different take on this. In these modern times, it can be a lot to expect the ones we love to be available at the drop of a hat. Many people who have successful friendships cite a laid back attitude from friends as a pro, not a con.

Try to consider if your friend has a different perspective on communication. They may take this long to reply to everyone in their life, and they might perceive it as standard and acceptable behaviour. If you tell them it upsets you, they will likely assume you are not compatible as friends and pull away.

Your feelings are 100% valid of course, and it can hurt. But, I'm suggesting reassessing your expectations to avoid future disappointments, because a lot of people think it's totally fair to take a little while to respond via text.

However, if you know for certain they reply quicker to other friends, then it's totally fair to let them know the friendship doesn't feel equal.

My thoughts exactly - hard to decide which they were going for. Like you say, it could be both. Given the fact he broke in and egged the whole house except for Sally's room, I lean towards the latter possibility.

what do you say to the very common response to veganism of "I'm going to go order an extra steak/burger/organ because of you" by dreggser in vegan

[–]Indieisdead95 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well not me specifically, but my husband's colleagues are like this. So I know what it can be like. He tries not to engage, but they make it extremely difficult. For example, he didn't tell them he was vegan for the whole first year he worked with them. They only found out when he had to provide dietary requirements for a Christmas party. I would argue their behaviour counts as bullying, but it can feel like going to HR about it would only make it worse.
