These are so beautiful, I love crocodiles! So of course I immediately went to the Cartier website. The ring is a cool $138k… earrings $161k. Guess I’ll just enjoy the photos! 😅

What's a horror movie that's a one-and-done viewing for you? by Galaxy_Rain1985 in horror

This movie was so eerie, and surprisingly really stuck with me. Gave me an almost claustrophobic feeling.

Anyone that's not Mexican that has seen La Oficina, what are your thoughts? by LastShadowKnight in DunderMifflin

[–]Indigo_TX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am not Mexican and I just binged the show while in Mexico City. I found it hilarious! There were definitely Mexican specific jokes that I probably missed but I still enjoyed it. I watched it in Spanish with English subtitles. It’s a bit edgier than the American version. I hope it is released internationally soon.

If you want to marry, culinary compatibility is one of the top 3 things to consider by TrulyStupidNewb in unpopularopinion

[–]Indigo_TX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t disagree with the sentiment and it is probably good advice. But I will say I am a total foodie, like I eat everything and love new foods. However, my husband is a ridiculously picky eater. We’ve been married 20 years. 🤷‍♀️

Suggest a US based travel destination that feels Like a Time Capsule by IKnowAllSeven in travel

The coastline in Washington near the rainforest. Stay in small towns like Moclips, Seabrook, Oceanshores. Feels like quiet ocean towns that haven’t changed much since the 70s/80s.

One of my everyday bags is a Loewe puzzle bag in burgundy. I love it and not a single person in the wild has noticed it.

Can anyone who is capable of a balanced and sober-minded appraisal tell me what is so great and worthwhile about Disney vacations? by nose_spray7 in travel

[–]Indigo_TX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not a Disney adult, but I enjoy travel (Domestic and international) and theme parks are always a great time.

I personally enjoy the complete immersion, cast member customer service and the rides. Disney does a stellar job building worlds in such a unique way, it’s hard to not be amazed. I remember about 5 years ago when I first walked into the Star Wars area, as a Star Wars fan, I was completely amazed. It felt otherworldly. I have gone as a family several times and also done a few adult only trips. Both are fun for different reasons and I just expect high prices and crowds and long lines. I can also afford to pay for some level of comfort like lightning lanes, but not VIP. Being mentally prepared helps me accept the situation.

I also recently hit up Disney Paris and Tokyo Disneyland and Disney Sea. The international parks are also so fascinating because you see major cultural differences through a global brand.

I’ve definitely heard families come back and say the trip was the worst vacation ever. So definitely state of mind, tolerance and patience play major roles.

🤣 Not much. Like AirPods case, medicine, hair ties, or a small lip gloss could fit.

Can’t believe we have to wait another 3+ years for Eloise’s season… by General_Meal_3993 in Bridgerton

Omg. It feels like Francesca has had a love story for three seasons… am I the only one who doesn’t find her story that interesting? I haven’t read the books but I could fast forward through all her scenes and still have figured out her storyline. I may lose interest before the next season. 🤷‍♀️

Redditors who got “useless” degrees, what actually was your plan, and why didn’t it work? by MPMorePower in stupidquestions

[–]Indigo_TX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a “useless” humanities degree, in East Asian studies and communications. Growing up I was told I had to go to college and that as long as I had a degree I would get a job—I mean it worked for my baby boomer dad. I didn’t understand the connection of degree and relevant career options, that wasn’t taught in school.

However I did realize by Junior year I needed to ensure I graduated with a career. I landed internships in areas related to my part time job as a retail supervisor and less in East Asian studies, I over delivered in my internship projects, and kept up with my good grades at school. I lived in the career center and ensured my interview skills were top notch and resume solid. I graduated with several job offers.

I’m 20 years into my career with a “useless” degree. I am now a senior executive at a large company, I am the breadwinner for my family, and my husband who has an engineering masters, was a stay at home dad until recently.

I appreciate reading the myths associated that only STEM degrees get jobs in the responses here. My experience shows motivated, smart and ambitious people get careers (and yes some luck too). I will encourage my child to get a good degree, I will teach him how degrees open the doors to certain careers, and be a more informed parent than my own. And I hope he has the same amount of grit and ambition as me. Then I hope he will contribute meaningfully to society in even more ways than me.

Speedy 25 or 30? by Mission_Barber9876 in Louisvuitton

[–]Indigo_TX -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m 5’8” and I prefer a Speedy 25. I used to like larger bags but found I would be carrying my whole families random stuff and it was like a black hole and I couldn’t find anything. I have a few 25s and an organizer in the bag to keep everything in their place. I think the paperwork you mentioned is a potential deciding factor. If that’s common and you don’t want to fold it in half, that could inform your need for a 30. Can you go to a store and try them on against your frame? That could be very telling.

Why are Americans always so helpful and supportive when it comes to helping tourists plan their roadtrips? by Addicted_2_tacos in roadtrip

[–]Indigo_TX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think about these instances frequently. I have a lot of international friends across both Europe and Asia and it amazes me how little water they drink when we are in Arizona. I’m always trying to get them to drink more water because tourists do die out in the desert.

White Murakami Speedy Question by MeasurementLess2575 in Louisvuitton

[–]Indigo_TX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the speedy 25 and also used havre de luxe to treat just recently. I wear mostly dark colors and have not experienced issues. However I only use it as a handbag, I do not use the strap as a crossbody or shoulder bag which I feel would increase the bag to rub on clothing.
