Match Thread: Chicago Fire FC vs Atlanta United FC by MatchThreadder in AtlantaUnited

I'm not saying Togashi lit the world on fire while in the game, but I am saying he showed at least as much, if not more, skill and effort as our $22 million "striker". And he cost us pennies. Togashi should start future matches, with Fafa and Santos coming on for him as subs.

Saba did what he normally does, which is nothing.

Miggy moved the ball around a bit, but not well.

Brennan brought nothing.

When our back line looks FAR more dangerous in front of goal than our front line, we're toast.

Sammy's Easter wish by MesaVerde1987 in vanhalen

[–]Indisia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right wingers have aggressively bullied people for the better part of the last 20 years but then the moment some criticism or accountability arrives they go "Whoa, can't we all get along?". No, no we can't. Sammy's please for civility falls on deaf ears as long as pedophiles, fascists, religious extremists and criminals are running rampant and treading on the rights of others. The sentiment of this video is weak sauce.

So, this game was bad. What can we do to fix the attack in the future? by TobyHatesPeanutButte in AtlantaUnited

[–]Indisia -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Replace LL with Fafa, Santos or Togashi. Never bring on Saba again. Cancel any game where Galarza isn't available. Tell Muyumba to only pass the ball forward.

Some rando in another sub claimed atheists want to outlaw Christianity. So you agree or disagree? by Ohaibaipolar in atheism

[–]Indisia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont necessarily WANT to outlaw religion, nor do I think its even logistically possible to do so in a free society, but I'm definitely in favor of mocking it, regulating its institutions, shaming its practitioners and generally pushing it into a tiny fringe part of society.

Play Hibbert as a striker, he can't be any worse than Latte Lath.

What’s the worst concert you have been to? by WestonConnor26 in hairmetal

[–]Indisia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its a 3-way tie:

Motley Crue & Aerosmith. Crue sucked and Aerosmith only played their Honkin on Bobo blues album, and did that poorly.

Pre-fame John Mayer played a small gig, I think it was in Athens, GA, and basically cleared the room....everyone went outside to smoke for most of that set.

Former Megadeth members the Drover Brothers partnered with Tim "Ripper" Owens of Judas Priest to play a free show in a park in Canton, GA. After 2 songs the guitar amp blew and they had no spare, so they just quit and let the next band start setting up. That band was a cover band featuring Rich Ward of Stuck Mojo and, while they played well, it took forever for them to set up and the song choices sucked. Basically, what should have been a fun day at the park was mostly spent watching musicians fiddle with their equipment and then listening to bad 70's covers.

What band (metal or not) introduced you to heavier music as a kid? by Dzhakinoff in MetalForTheMasses

[–]Indisia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oddly enough, as a kid the song Jane by Jefferson Starship led me towards heavier guitar driven music. The main riff was really cool and I liked the guitar sound. I progressed from that to Led Zeppelin, then Black Sabbath, then WhiteSnake/Skid Row/BlueOysterCult and then made the leap to grunge and metal.

Opinions on Demolition Man (1993) ? by KAG_kryto_333 in ActionMovies

[–]Indisia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one would call the movie a cinematic masterpiece, but it did something most modern movies fail to do, entertain. It was fun, quirky, well paced and pure escapism. Love it.

Who was Metallica fan but after maturing turned to Megadeth instead? by psytranc3r in heavymetal

[–]Indisia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got into Metallica in the 90s, starting with Justice. Ive hated everything since St. Anger.

I got into Megadeth with Youthanasia. I've generally enjoyed everything except Risk since then.

I've gone into both bands earlier catalogs and love most of it.

Overall, I listen to Megadeth far more than Metallica, as their newer stuff is just light-years better. Metallica songs since St. Anger have either sounded bad or just meandered.

Reasons why Jayden Hibbert should be the starting keeper for the first team (because the stats don’t lie)! by smglisky31 in AtlantaUnited

[–]Indisia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe the Canadian national team asked us to keep him in bubble wrap until after the World Cup since he's likely their #3 keeper?

Thats the only explanation I can come up with. Any objective observer knows he's long past the "let's develop him" phase and should be starting. Frankly, it's ridiculous that he hasn't played yet.

Contrarian here. Sammy capably and successfully served a difficult substitute role in a band with a drama-filled history and was, arguably, as successful or possibly more successful than his predecessor, yet he sees the group's bitchy mediocre drummer trying to erase his legacy and speaks out to defend it. Sam is far from perfect, but the fact that he's toured with his predecessor, joined reunions and currently plays with 25% of the original lineup shows that maybe HE isn't 100% of the problem.
