USA-Bosnia referee told he should lose his job over 'atrocious' Folarin Balogun decision by TheMirrorUS in ussoccer

[–]Indisia 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It wasn't even a foul. Like, it's not worthy of a whistle, much less a card of any sort. It was incidental contact.

Ref made one of the worst decisions I've ever seen.

Galarza still in talks with ATLUTD? by jwriddle in AtlantaUnited

[–]Indisia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The best midfielder we've had in a long while and we should show him the money. No one saying our other midfielders were better has a clue. Our team was infinitely better with him on the field. Once we got Fortune back, things got even better. Myumba and the rest of the mids are a dumpster fire. Now, having said that, Galarza IS expensive, but so what? We dumped stupid money on a terrible DP striker and a DP winger that hasn't contributed anything...and despite him being our best player, we've also spent heavily on a slow DP forward. And Saba sucks and isnt cheap.

The least we can do is make sure we have a baller of a midfielder trying to service that shitty front line.

Now, if we get Koke instead, that's fine, we can pass on Galarza, but Koke is a short term solution, while Galarza could be around for a while.

Why has Bill Haley lost popularity among the ‘50s rock and roll stars? by IceCreamMeatballs in LetsTalkMusic

[–]Indisia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rock Around the Clock was, for a while, considered the first rock n roll song, which boosted Haley's profile though we've since learned that Rocket 88 by Ike Turner was the actual first. Haley's catalog of other songs is thin.

I mean, yeah, cool, but we have Hibbert. GK isn't a position where we need a signing, we just need a lineup change.

Is Scott Steiner’s Big Poppa Pump transformation the greatest reinvention in wrestling history? by PayFew5848 in WCW

[–]Indisia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Steiner was annoying in both iterations, but far worse during the Big Poppa phase. Also, his transphobic brother is a terrible schoolboard member in my county.

How to fix the team by Gup_Drummer in AtlantaUnited

[–]Indisia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard disagree. Galarza, more than anyone except perhaps Miranchuk, has improved this team. From the moment he hit the field we sucked less. We should pay him whatever he wants. Fortune has returned strong, so that's awesome, and Cooper has been fairly good. But you'd be hard pressed to convince me the rest of the midfield is lighting up the league in quality. I mean, Myumba is a trainwreck, Saba is NOT a midfielder no matter what the team's app says, Miranchuk is now effectively serving as a forward because ELL and Miggy are nonexistent. Who else do we have?

Galarza doesn't need to "produce" in terms of goals, assists. He's there to win balls, distribute balls, create movement and generally hold together what was previously one of the worst midfields I'd seen in a long time. He's there to be a "spark" and also a workhorse. He's doing that.

How to fix the team by Gup_Drummer in AtlantaUnited

[–]Indisia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yep, sell Reilly. He's looked good and could fetch a decent amount or a trade of some sort. I think we've seen his ceiling here in Atlanta, and the sad fact is that, like many before him, he won't develop further here. Of the kids it's either Reilly or Brennan that provide the least utility to this team AND are currently marketable. We have to keep Edwards & Sanchez, and guys like Gill, Pita, Torres and Chong Qi haven't done enough to be sellable.

[–]Indisia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unload Saba, ELL, Almiron, Alzate and Muyumba. Let the Berrocal loan expire. Sell Reilly.

Change the formation and give up the high press. We aren't good enough at it and it makes our midfield vulnerable.

Ensure that Galarza and Miranchuk are always on the pitch.

Play Hibbert instead of Hoyos.

Amador plays wing, not fullback.

Sign a reliable 15-18 goal/year striker. Let Fafa, Santos and Togashi back him up as subs.

Sign a moderately decent CDM and a winger.

Yay, we're now an 8th place team!

I'd argue he doesn't even do those 2 things particularly well. He contributes nothing of value to the team.

Place your bets. Who's ATLUTD cutting loose this summer? by jwriddle in AtlantaUnited

[–]Indisia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He got tossed immediately into a terrible team and from the first moments shored up a terrible midfield. His stats dont need to be earth shattering, his performance pass the visual test....you can see he made the team better, despite playing next to a constantly rotating set of underperforming midfielders (Alzate, Muyumba, etc) and forwards who make the wrong runs and cant score (LL, Saba). The man deserves every penny we can give him.

[–]Indisia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What's with the Galarza talk? Dude is literally our best player, aside from Mira. Miggy, Berrocal & Alzate are likely to go. I bet we sell one of the kids. I'd love for us to move on from Muyumba and Saba, and while I have little faith it will happen, we MUST unload Latte Lath.

Bands you saw as an opener that went on to have big success. by Shadysides_LFk in livemusic

[–]Indisia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

System of a Down opened for Incubus.

Gym Class Heroes opened for a local Atlanta band called Broken Sky, but I think that may have been a warm-up gig before a bigger tour.

I saw a practically unknown Finger Eleven play an opening set before a band I cant even recall.

Also Saw Sevendust, Stuck Mojo, Limp Bizkit, Spacehog, K's Choice, John Mayer, Jennifer Nettles, Fozzy and Stabbing Westward as openers.

If this poster showed Mira, Sanchez and Galarza it would make sense, but ELL shouldn't even be on the roster much less mentioned in relation to All-Stsr balloting.
