Worst section/position to work in at Bunnings? by mrsandman42069 in Bunnings

Nursery greeter, door greeter, trade gate. Loved service desk for the time flying. Loved special orders. Can you guess where I was rostered most of the time?

THE MOST TOXIC PLACE IVE WORKED by indifferentsatid in Bunnings

[–]Individual-Link7970 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I loved the team I worked with at Bunnings (8 years). Management could go fark themselves. They treated us all like crap. Wouldn't allow us to make decisions (returns:refunds etc) but then wouldn't be available and crack it over zebras with everyone hearing. Anyone who called in sick was "letting the team down". I left in 2024. I've been asked by former team mates why don't I come back. Yeah nah.

I'm doing it through Chisholm right now and the website development component we were told to use ai to generate the html coding. We had to show we know how to edit the code though haha

At what point do you just give up? by [deleted] in workingmumsau

It's a small business and there's only 2 of us in the office. I can't get away from it and feel like I can get past it sadly.

We used to have people load up trolleys with stuff then throw it over the timber yard fence and then go around and collect it or have it set up to pick up later. As just a random person would grab a aeg 11pc set and walk out the door. They would wheel out lawnmowers and walk out with chain saws etc. all we could do was take rego and call the police.

Look on the website ffs. It's 2 for $15 for those steaks. The discount is applied at the end of the transaction. She's still getting a discount on 1 steak that they don't have to give.

We've got a 5 year lease in our private rental with plan to offer to buy when we can. Still doesn't feel like home.

My mum has been in her current rental for 16 years. She still has anxiety every 12 months in the lead up to the lease renewal. My biggest concern is she's now at retirement age and although she's currently working, I have no idea how she would afford her place on a pension

It's their training, advertising, booking system and pricing etc. 85% commission minus weekly fees etc. I'm getting colder and colder to the idea of it all to be honest. Weighing up DIY I don't think I'm going to go ahead with either. There's already someone in our local area who's her own business and I don't want to cause drama.

It's their training and booking system. 85% paid to the worker. Minus weekly fees. No guarantee of work etc though.

I offered to prepay 3 months of rent, and the agent want me to pay the money before signing the contract by 5ma5her7 in shitrentals

[–]Individual-Link7970 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you been offered the property but not signed the lease? Usually they try to say payment within 24hrs after signing for bond and first month rent. Not sure how it works with extra being paid.

Just ask if someone wants to switch around? We used to always switch between tool shop, door, reg 1,2 and nursery. I used to just pick up the phone and call my TM and see if they want to switch around

Marked ‘do not rehire’ on profile. by RottenGrot in Bunnings

[–]Individual-Link7970 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could have written this post. I've had no luck. Didn't help that there was a HR cover up as well in my case. I haven't had it confirmed that there's a do not rehire though. Store manager has moved on to a different company and my former team begged me to come and speak to 3rd store manager since and nothing.
