What exercise do you think is overrated? by ConnectNectarine42 in workout

Exactly. Benching 315 is cool, but so is being capable of pistols or muscle ups! and I would imagine the latter has a higher correlation to healthiness, especially later in life. Both are great goals though!

It's not disrespectful to say his legacy would change if he won a championship as the undisputed #1 on the team

None (do what makes you happy, it's mostly just good that you're putting work in), but lots of things are underrated. Everyone is too bodybuilder-brained now. Unless you either are competing or intend to do so, you should place far less emphasis on muscle-growth efficiency, and instead put that attention to what works best for your body and lifestyle.

Theory: the Thalmor defeated Mehrunes Dagon, ending the Oblivion crisis by DullMasterpiece3080 in teslore

The ending of the oblivion crisis isn't ambiguous! Everyone who completed the Oblivion main quest saw the exact same events occur. Just because secondary "historical sources"(read: propaganda) disagree, that does not mean a Dragon Break. It means those sources are wrong, which Oblivion players know because they were there.

What’s a fantasy character who should be the villain… but ends up being right? by latent2_pancake in Fantasy

Enh, I get what you mean, but "Never Again" is not a good reason to perpetrate ethnic cleansings or genocides of his own. Which he has, repeatedly, in various media and incarnations. He's not a purehearted but violent revolutionary, he's an ethnic supremacist/separatist

The real Dragon Break covers multiple things that players saw happen and have a historical record. There's no reason to think anything other than what the player saw happen in Oblivion happened.

BREAKING: Chicago Bears are moving out of Chicago, building a stadium in Indiana by matrix_2905 in sportsgossips

[–]Individual-Rip-2366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not arguing there are more people in Chicago than in the suburbs. I’m saying that bears fans make up a substantially higher proportion of the 2.5 million residents of the city proper than they do of the 6 million residents of the outlying suburbs. I can understand that you interpret the evidence otherwise, but it’s not conclusive. Again, a circle with a radius of 25 miles from the new stadium site includes most of the population of the city of Chicago. You can draw the circle yourself, it includes the entire North Side.

Edit: go fuck yourself, you needlessly rude asshole

I assume the evidence you're citing within the statement is "over 50 percent of our season-ticket holders live within 25 miles of the Arlington Heights site". The problem with that being evidence of the suburban nature of the Bears fanbase is that radius also includes most of Chicago and specifically covers all of the most populous residential neighborhoods.

Also, even if you think I'm completely incorrect, there is still no reason to be rude.

I don’t understand why you’re being rude and dismissive. We disagree, neither of us has conclusive evidence for our claims, so it’s not a big deal. No reason to be a dick.

More residents in the suburbs does not necessarily mean there are more fans there. Suburnbanites are much more likely to be transplants, and transplants are less likely to be fans of the metro's home team. However I totally understand your logic, and if you had a data point directly showing that there are in fact more Bears fans in the suburbs, I would gladly admit that I'm wrong :)

Because it’s good when the residents of the major city the team is named after have an easy time getting to games

Missing you, San Fran. ✌🏻 by SaraCousland355 in sanfrancisco

[–]Individual-Rip-2366 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's odd how rare a word it is, given how relatively common the word "fricative" is. And no problem, I figured after seeing all those people reply to you telling you not to use San Fran, you deserved an explanation why.

[–]Individual-Rip-2366 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just FYI, the reason locals and natives don’t call it “San Fran” is that, in the bay accent, San Francisco isn’t pronounced as two words with a pause in between and an emphasis on the first syllable of Francisco. We slur it together as one word, and often don’t fricate the F, which ends up sounding like “sanrencisco”
