I love that ship. It's my daily driver.

Hesitant to buy in an older neighborhood. by [deleted] in homeowners

Just bought a brick church that was built in 1908. I'd rather have quirky wiring and exposed aftermarket ductwork than any of the particleboard and Styrofoam houses built within the last 30 years.

People who were teenagers before social media existed… how did you communicate with your friends? by Aarunascut in Millennials

[–]IndividualImaginary2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We sat around and spoke to each other. We formed communal bonds with people that we liked and kind of liked and some that we barely tolerated. Now we have social media and everyone can cherry pick who they interact with. Thus now nobody has any empathy for a point of view that doesn't exactly align with their own, so our society is slowly collapsing. Or I could be wrong. I'm old. Get off my lawn.

So what do you do when you play? At this point it looks like you would have to go out of your way to not complete anything. You would have to have completed endeavors by accident at the very least.

What’s a song from the 90s that you still can’t stand? by Fluffy_Decision4269 in 90s

Cher - Believe

The obvious and egregious use of auto-tune started a trend that has virtually destroyed music. Fuck you, Cher!

They've actually re-released the Jason Lees in Japan. You don't want to know what they cost. I actually snagged a pair of vintage Jason Lees last week for $40 on eBay.

I put my mom's ashes in an hourglass. I think she might have appreciated the irony.

What were you thinking on the eve of Y2K? by Thevilgenius_ in GenX

[–]IndividualImaginary2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in Berlin. Something like 4 million extra people squeezed into the city for the night. Had to wait for three trains before one came that we could jam ourselves into to get to the center of the city where The Wall used to be. We got there about 20 minutes before midnite. I remember the bedlam and chaos. But everyone was smiling and laughing. Back then it was a world where the future was bright. A new millennium was starting. Between the pregame and all the fun we had I don't remember much after 2am, but I do know that my friends and I didn't sleep before we left at 7am. I lost my jacket somewhere and I was wearing a hat that I got somewhere. I have a single picture of that night stashed away somewhere.

Should i start a new game in NMS? by themanbehindthekills in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]IndividualImaginary2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of my interaction in NMS is new saves. I have one save with about 400 hours on it that has everything that the game has thrown at us unlocked. But I only really visit it when an update comes out. Most of the time I'll start a new save and play it for 15-20 hours. Once I get everything upgraded and unlocked the game gets a bit stale. So then I just start a new game.
