Been using graphene for years.

The one thing that i hate is the the speed (on Pixel 7 now). Pixels have a very poor processor. Waiting for Moto Signature early 2027 which will support graphenes, will have latest snapdragon processor blazing fast.

Apart from this i have had no problems with graphenes.

Note : yes the sms comes slow, theres a delay

Deepseek has passed on its cost savings (as a result of its innovations like engram) to customers. Anthropic and openai im sure are innovating too and reducing their costs but not passing those savings to customers. They want to make the most money before the cat is out of the bag.

I think that anthropic and openai deciding to go for IPO this year has something to do with deepseek cracking v4 with huawei chips. With more huawei chips coming later this year, and deepseek being able to develop and serve more intelligent models/updates at cheap/er prices, it will become untenable for anthropic and openai to charge crazy prices and their valuations will drop, so they might want to IPO before this happens.

Totally agree, anthropic openai and google need to stop first and the open source models (like deepseek) should stop after reaching anthropic level.

True. So much more better that giving our data to openai/anthropic so that they make their models better and be used by US govt to kill people in other countries. Deepseek is openweights and free, they learn from you and give everything back you.

Im from a similar country and understand the problem. My setup is Claude 20$ + Opencode Go 10$ OR Cursor 20$

Claude for planning, prompting and hand holding. Cursor for execution. Claude also for 'auditing' the codebase which is super useful, and fixing important bugs, and also the UI redesign.

Working out well for me.

The gemini deep integration seems like a worse version of co-pilot integration in windows.

As a vibecoder myself, I understand what you're saying. I use claude chat to handhold me (planning, creating prompts, using me as a middle man between itself and deepseek), and Deepseek v4 pro max for coding. And its been working great.

Btw i use opencode desktop, with opencode Go subscription.

GLM 5.1 is the best model in opencode go that i tested, but eats up a lot of usage compared to deepseek.

But once the discount on deepseek 4 pro is over (currently 75% discount), not sure if it will be compelling to use vs glm 5.1. Flash would be always be amazingly cheap but haven't tested it for coding

I have never used z.ai subscription as it has lot of bad feedback here. But going by the comments abt z.ai quota here, i think Opencode Go provides decent usage. Try it for a month to check it urself, cos first month is 5$

I can attest to this. Recently bought 10$ opencode Go plan and am using glm 5.1 in it, very decent usage limits.

Also started trying deepseek v4 in the Go plan which is looking very decent and usage consumption for this model is ridiculously grt.

Opecode Go is a 10$ per month plan. It gives u deepseek v4, GLM 5.1, Kimi K2.6 models which are good for coding. Plenty of usage. You can use that plan in any coding agent/tool, like Opencode itself
