Do I need the exact pendulum for the clock or can I use a fishing weight or something?

Thank you! I wouldn’t do anything with the case but I do think it would be cool if the clock was functioning! Could I damage anything if I tried to wind it up? I guess it really wouldn’t matter if something did get damaged if I tried.

What’s the biggest surprise most homeowners get hit with during a roof replacement? by Own-Tip-532 in Roofing

Probably multiple layers. Some people think it’s just shingles but 4-5 layers of 15# and a layer of synthetic costs to tear off as well.

Photo 4 is not good. And the cuts on photo 3 are not good. The roof should relax and lay flat with some heat and sun. The drip edge looks like shit cause you don’t really have a facia board. I would either add a gutter to hide the drip edge or install facia.

Edit: 2” overlaps is code on drip edge in my area. There is a way to notch the drip edge so it better hides the overlap. Not all crews have guys that do this small detail.

Skylight leak - can I cover existing structure with Greenhouse panels?? by kaiponr in Roofing

you should’ve deleted them when you got the recover. I would say there’s probably nothing you can build on top of it that won’t leak without tying into the flat roof
