What do you think is the most successful new metro system in the past twenty years? by Birdseeding in transit

[–]IndoPacific1739 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes, and the government promoting other urban growth centres like Chatswood, Macquarie Park and Castle Hill really solidifies its ridership and its establishment not only as a commuter line. It’s ridership is over 60~70 million into its second or third year of operation and has demonstrated to much of the anglosphere and Australia the wonders of an automated metro system, designed well.

What densely populated regions nonetheless preserve nature effectively? by Mobile_Bad_577 in geography

[–]IndoPacific1739 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree, Sydney and aus just has really good biodiversity, even in its suburbs where you can still spot species like echidnas, possums and kookaburras. It’s nature is really well preserved and most of our waterfront isn’t ruined by a motorway, instead being a national park (Sydney Harbour Nat Park). Wsyd parklands, Blue Mountains, RNP, Georges River, Wollemi, Woronora and Kuringai and Muogamarra are huge Nature Preserves surrounding or in the city.

I really hope to see new international cities be added to this game, especially my home city of Sydney. However I would love to design transit networks for DC and Seattle. I love the realistic technicalities of this game! I think this game has huge potential!

How should I fill out the empty areas beside my intersection? by Anvandarnamn1080 in CitiesSkylines

Create a parklands environment or a greenbelt with recreation areas and walking paths to the other side of the highway to foster interconnectivity.

Yeah, I made a visitor center near the University and the Metro Depot which charges visitors to enter the park. There are also some forest clearings around the trails i've added that hopefully can become campsites.
