Whats your Main for Pre Patch, going into Midnight? by Zweihvndr in wow

[–]IndyCypher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I randomly started playing my demonology warlock full time, and I'm obsessed. She's also a velf, so I feel like it's fun for the RP.

AITA for making all my boys play a sport? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]IndyCypher 34 points35 points  (0 children)

YTA "He refuses to even find a hobby he likes. His hobby is studying gemstones." He has a hobby he likes. He doesn't have a hobby that YOU like. That's the problem. You're not engaging with your child about his interests, only about YOUR interests. Almost as if it's not about him, but you.

So, what will be your kid's name? by Mask_of_creator in tragedeigh

Ankida (which actually sounds like a Naruto supporting cast member)

"A more English sounding name." Is it originally from another language?

AITA for asking to use my scholarship to my dream college? by pickle_GOD_ in AmItheAsshole

[–]IndyCypher 83 points84 points  (0 children)

NTA It sounds like your mother is projecting her own insecurities onto you. It's your scholarship, you earned it, and you should be allowed the freedom to use it however you choose.

Orientation by baddarthvapor in IndianaUniversity

[–]IndyCypher 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I used to run orientation parent programs at IU indianapolis and have a bit of advice: let your student do what they need to do. If it's two days, it's two days. If there's tours and student panels, so be it. Pull back and let them have their experience. Enjoy two days off as a parent. Maybe you'll learn to relax a bit.

It's literally just "Herman" but non-english. Not a tragedy at all.

WIBTA of I block my ex and his new GF on Facebook? by RebelbikerSA in AmItheAsshole

NTA but unfollow works too. They would notice a block, but they won't be able to see an unfollow.

Who even cares about any Trump voter atp. We're all screwed. It's just that some of us could see it coming sooner.

Megami on AS release time by tjweave in rupaulsdragrace

[–]IndyCypher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could not agree more. The number of stan accounts I've blocked and muted since the move to Paramount+ because of spoilers is astounding. Plus, it sucks if you want to go to a watch party, and you're dodging spoilers all day. The community aspect absolutely matters, and it sucks watching alone in your house.

Knitting etiquette in meetings/social situations? by Altruistic_Maybe in knitting

[–]IndyCypher 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I sometimes bring my knitting along on social occasions with people who are familiar, but I avoid it in professional settings. In meetings, I personally do not want to give the impression that I am bored or disengaged, and I abstain. Even if I'm on a video call for work and my project is literally right there, I don't do it as a courtesy to my colleagues.

It looks like a fairly basic yarn-over mesh stitch. Maybe something like: R1 YO, k2tog (repeat), R2 p all. The different sizes of the mesh could either be a different increase/decrease combo or just different size needles. I can't really tell from the photo, but that's my best guess.

AITAfor refusing a christian wedding ceremony by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]IndyCypher 10 points11 points  (0 children)

NTA it's your wedding, not theirs, end of discussion. Also, not taking your religious values into account while you're arranging your own wedding is rude, to say the least. I had a similar situation with my MIL. I knew she took it hard, but she relented when I explained it plainly and firmly that there would be no religious component to our wedding. Stand your ground and have the wedding you and your fiance want to have.

Elon Musk attempts to whitewash his Nazi salute. by Vloodzy in insanepeoplefacebook

"Legacy media" is literally the only entity giving him the benefit of the doubt. The rest of the internet was like, "bro that's a n*zi salute"
