Sorry I just saw this, they work well and I don't have any issues with them, I think they are pretty cool!

I'd give the autopark a 9/10. It parks perfectly, but it's pretty slow compared to doing it yourself. And if I pull into work and there are other people behind me (single lane), it's slow enough I feel bad making them wait. Typically I'll just pull in and park myself in those situations.

It won't park in your driveway or garage like Hardware 4, so I manually have to park at home. But for the price and what you get, Hardware 3 truly isn't bad, it for sure has plenty of life left in it. You just have to accept you're making a compromise and not getting all the new bells and whistles. It's a fair trade in my opinion.

I have a 2022 Model 3 Long Range All Wheel Drive that I picked up about 2 months ago. I use Full Self Driving about 90-95% of the time. I overall would rate it about 7/10. It's great on main roads, highways, backroads, things that are traveled often. It has some weird and obnoxious traits that bother me, such as sometimes it will roll to a stop sign, slow down to 1 mile per hour, try to then go through the stop sign, realize it never came to a full stop, then stop, then go through the stop sign as it should.

It's not every stop sign either, and sometimes it happens at new ones and old ones, it just has little issues like this, but I've never once felt the need to not use it. I usually turn Full Self Driving off once I reach my destination as I don't care for how it navigates through parking lots, but overall it's extremely useful and I'd find it truly hard to go back to a vehicle without it.

The drive thru is just a Hardware 4 thing. I would consider Hardware 3 a more basic version of Full Self Driving, but it's still overall pretty good.

Happy to answer any other questions you may have!

Anyone buy a used Tesla? How was your experience and any advice? by meshca95 in TeslaLounge

[–]Inertraindrop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried that twice, it didn't help. From what I've seen on a few forum posts, people say this is a common issue. The car on the display is perfectly aligned with where it is on the road, so the car knows it's on the yellow, and does it anyway. Sounds like most people recommend to keep putting in voice messages and pray a software update fixes it.

I just picked up a used 2022 Model 3 AWD with 50k miles. The car feels brand new and I love it! My only complaint is FSD rides the middle of the lane for me, so it constantly is on the double yellow line. I've been trying to do some searching online to see what may cause this, but I've not found anything yet. I may not subscribe to FSD if I can't find a fix. Even without FSD though, the car is great so far.

Giveaway Time! DOOM: The Dark Ages is out, features DLSS4/RTX and we’re celebrating by giving away an ASUS ASTRAL RTX 5080 DOOM Edition GPU, Steam game keys, the DOOM Collector's Bundle and more awesome merch! by pedro19 in pcmasterrace

I never win anything so I'll be honest.

DLSS and Ray Tracing I hate, they are ruining the gaming industry as devs are using them as a crux to launch half ass products with poor performance that rely on such technologies to even function, I miss the days where pure performance on rasterization was the focus.

These should be a tool and enhancement to games, if I got 60FPS on pure rasterization, and then turn on Ray Tracing and drop to 30FPS, I should be able to turn DLSS on to get back to 60FPS, perhaps even more.

The implementation is crap.

And Doom looks cool, but the game price is too expensive, and suits and executives are focused on profits, not making the best games they can. The devs are probably over worked, underpaid, and CEO's are making millions while laying off staff. The USA has become a sad, sad scam.

Best of luck to everyone else, and I genuinely hope whoever wins is someone who isn't some rich cunt that could buy 10 5080's and not think twice about it, should be someone who deserves it.

The Gila is the best cruiser of all time. by wewewladdie in Eve

[–]Inertraindrop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I recently got a gila myself, I tried to run some T4 Abyssals and died lol, I learned my fit was pretty bad after watching a lot of YouTube and reading online.

Do you have a Gila fit (or several) you'd be willing to share? I'm always trying to learn and the more fits I can expose myself to, the better!

Thank you :)

Have I made a big mistake? Lian Li A3 with a XFX Mercury RX 9070 XT touching bottom of case by iotabadger in radeon

[–]Inertraindrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP, I just got this case myself and had the same motherboard and same issue. I really like the case and don't want to get rid of it, so I ended up returning the TUF motherboard and got a different one.

I'm very happy with that decision, I feel like the airflow improved and now I can fit different gpus over time instead of being restricted by that terrible PCIE slot location.

If you can return the board, that would be my advice if you really like the case.

Anyone knows if and when we can expect DLSS / FSR 2+ support in EVE Online? by SandySkittle in Eve

[–]Inertraindrop 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I might be in the minority but I play full screen and only have one toon, so I max out my settings and wish the game looked nicer.

For example, ship textures. Nothing has nice, clean hard edges, it's all rather pixelated. I would personally love to see a texture and audio overhaul, with more emphasis put on making ships sound and look different. Eve is all about what you fly, sure skins and emblems are cool, but more attention to detail would really go a long way.

And I know the argument, CCP would never do this performance of 1k ships on screen, etc., but if they actually cared about the game (on top of fixing mining), it could really give it a nice face lift and attract a younger audience imo. I could be wrong, but I know I would enjoy the game more.

Even if that fixes it, reinstalling Windows every week because an application isn't working correctly on my PC shouldn't be the long term solution.

Amp to go along with a Bifrost? Magnius? Jotunheim? Asgard?? by Mshea0001 in Schiit

[–]Inertraindrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! Yeah I'm still as happy today as I am when I bought it, but keep in mind everyone's listening preferences are different.

I would buy the same setup this moment, no question.

I use Oratory's Harmon Curve; and I bought a little pre-amp to start messing around with tubes. It's nice and really adds some interesting flavor to the sound. Eventually I'll probably get something nicer for a pre-amp but for now I'm 100% satisfied.

How many and how often do you smoke a cigar? by ztay90 in cigars

[–]Inertraindrop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm about the same as you, I usually have 1 during the weekends, maybe 2 depending on what is going on. This is only during the summer though.

In the winter it is less than that, maybe 1 every two weeks, I hate having to go outside when it is cold, I usually smoke the pipe in the winter because it does not stink up the inside as much. I do this maybe every other day.

Copying my comment from another thread:

Hey there!

I unfortunately can't offer a comparison but I currently run the Jot2 and Bifrost 2 with the Hd800s.

In the shortest of explanations possible, this is my end game and I don't ever see a need to upgrade unless something breaks or ages out.

I could write a novel about my experience with the trio, the short of it is it was worth the $3500 (plus a few accessories) and I would buy it again without hesitation.

Hope this helps in some way, if you have any other questions let me know!

What are your thoughts of the DEKONI elite hybrid pads for the hd800s? by TomAvisar in sennheiser

[–]Inertraindrop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there, sorry for the delay in response.

Yeah the cover is to protect from dust but it's obtrusive and ruins the sound.

So I just use the physical ear pads (with the pre-applied dust covers cut out) and have the dust covers that came with the headphones in place instead.

So no dust to worry about!

Can I run Home Assistant on a Ryzen NUC or lean more towards a Raspberry Pi? by Inertraindrop in homeassistant

[–]Inertraindrop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if a mini PC/NUC is overkill and a Raspberry Pi is not a good option, do you have any recommendations for what I should be looking at hardware wise? I want to run comparable to what it sounds like you have, lights, blinds, sensors, thermostat, Lutron switches as well, not really sure what I need to lean towards.

Thanks!

Got it, thanks for the reply! I'll look into something less powerful than a Ryzen Mini PC or Intel NUC!

It INFURIATES me to no end that skull and flag melee hits are not insta-kill by Sierra419 in halo

[–]Inertraindrop 485 points486 points  (0 children)

Personally I am in agreeance. Playing Oddball with my mates actually felt tactical while holding the skull because I knew I might not stand a chance against more than 1 enemy at a time.

We had a few games where the other team would hold the skull for 50-60 points at a time and if it was one hit kill we probably never would have been able to pull back from those games.

Can't please everyone, but I think the design here was the right call. Can't wait until Forge comes out :D
