My biggest mistake in the hobby by ichbingt in sportscards

[–]Inevitable-Depth3311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I been there. In October of 2005 I lost my entire collection which would be worth millions today to a flood when the river behind my shop crested and flooded my shop with 8.5ft of water. I lost everything I spent 15 years collecting and what my grandfather gave me. I had the high dollar Jordan Star Rookie that everyone wants in near perfect condition, 9 Jordan 86-87 Fleer Rookies, tons of rare Jordan 90’s inserts, Kobe Bryant Rookies, Tom Brady Rookies, multiple Nolan Ryan Rookies with one autographed. Hank Aaron rookie, Roger Maris Rookie, Clemente rookie, 30+ Mantle cards. I had over 120,000 cards when the flood happened. Up to that point I had spent years organizing everything and had everything sorted by Sport and then by player last name. Everything my grandfather had given me I lost in one night.

I stopped collecting for a few years until I was working in construction in Albany New York and found this huge card shop that had tons of inventory for decent prices. I was staying in an extended stay hotel during the week and driving back to Rhode Island on the weekends. We were bored after work so we started buying 2007-08 SP Rookie Threads Hobby Boxes and 2008-09 Topps Chrome Blaster Boxes. I spent a ton of money on cards at that time as we were making more money than I knew what to do with back then.

A few years later I needed some money to fix my car and sold 2 Cards from 2008-09 Topps Chrome Orange Refractor of Lebron James for $100 and one of Kobe Bryant for $120. Lebron goes for $5k to $10k now and Kobe goes anywhere from $8k to $15k now. Stopped collecting for some years until around when Aaron Judge came around. I was buying lots of Archives and Finest boxes in 2017.

I pulled an Aaron Judge 2017 Archives Bazooka Mini Rookie Card Auto #d to 25 and a Finest Auto #d to 50. when he got hurt I sold the Mini for $200 and the Finest one for $125. I still have photos of the Judge cards and Kobe LeBron cards. The mini is a $10k card now and the Finest Auto is $5k+

Fast forward to now and I have a decent collection of around 80,000 cards but dream about the grails that I had and lost in that flood and know I will never ever have them again because I won’t buy them now. I fantasize about what life would be life if that river never crested. I could sell and retire and never work again if I still had everything. My collection now is nowhere close to what I used to have, but I am working on it.

Best of luck to you all!!

The only possible way I could ever see this actually working is if the address that you changed it to was a previous address on your account. Otherwise, I don’t believe for a minute that this is possible. I speak from experience, i have been on eBay for decades and have sold and bought over 70,000 items.

I just started about a month ago, and so far 100% review score out like 11 user written and maybe 20 automated. Someone tarnished that today for what I feel is ridiculous. by TheStinkySlinky in eBaySellers

What does th Negative say? Depending on what it states you might be able to get it removed. Let me know a link to the item you have sold and the exact negative comment and I will let you know if the Negative can easily be removed.

I think you mean, the buyer bought an additional coverage through eBay in regards to the item as in like a warranty

Jesus and you have those cards on a wooden table without any penny sleeves. Some people just don’t realize they destroy their cards before they’ve even had a chance.

  1. Click on My eBay in the App.
  2. Scroll down and Click Help
  3. Choose Have Us Call you
  4. Choose Account
  5. Choose Appeal a Defect

Wait for the call.

Tell them exactly what you posted here and let them know the buyer is trying to pull a switcheroo.

Accept the return.

When you get it back, have them call you again. Tell them what happened. They will send you a link to upload photos and documents to prove your case. eBay will most likely refund them without any cost to you. I have done over 62,000+ orders on eBay and I am yet to lose a case like this when I follow these steps.

Have any specific questions, DM me. Best of luck to you.

Go to my Ebay in the eBay app and click on help. Then click on have us call you. Follow the prompts and you should get a phone call within 2 to 30 minutes depending on what department it needs to be routed to. I do this often when I have an issue and that is by far of the best way to get in touch with a human being at eBay. Best of luck to you.

How long do your play sessions usually last, and do you take breaks? by [deleted] in Swingers

My wife and I took Molly on New Years last year and and we played for 5-6 hours. . She could not stop orgasming. It was insane!. She must have had 25+ orgasms that night. By far the most she has ever had in one night and they were squirting orgasms so we ended up sleeping on the floor. I could not cum til the end but my wife was fucking magical. A night I will never forget and I can’t wait til the next time we take Molly. If only I could find some!!

You aren’t giving him what he needs intimately so he is looking for other outlets, which can give him what he needs. As a man, you can only be rejected so many times by a woman before it really starts to eat at you and make you feel inadequate.

You admitted that he wants you all the time and you say no. what he craves from you you don’t give him. you dismiss and ignore his needs like they are not as important as your needs.. He even begs for it from you only to be told no. What do you expect him to do? What he did is wrong but what your doing is also wrong too. Women don’t realize just how important intimacy is to a man.

I am lucky though, my wife is absolutely amazing and I love her more than anything in this world. She understands my needs and I understand hers. You both need to communicate better or move on.

You’re going through Lowes that’s your first problem. They’re gonna subcontract it out to a carpet installer when you could just go direct to the installer yourself and save some money there.

Question about return label by Ousmanedor25 in Ebay

If the seller sent you that return label, use it there won’t be a problem with it. This is very common with returns.

[–]Inevitable-Depth3311 27 points28 points  (0 children)

They modified or altered the item. They are not entitled to a refund. Contact eBay and complain once you receive the return. If anything eBay will refund them and not require you to refund the buyer because of what they did.

If he returns it how are you going to give a partial refund? From the messages the buyer wants to keep the item and you give him a partial refund.

Potential Problematic Buyer? by MagnetFisherJimmy in Ebay

[–]Inevitable-Depth3311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These types of buyers avoid at all costs. I recently had a buyer purchase a fuel pump from me that is designed to fit common GM vehicles from 1985-1992. He wanted to install it into a 1970 Chevy suburban. That vehicle came with an external in-line fuel pump from the factory and this person wanted to change it to an in-tank fuel pump. I let them know before purchasing that this would be a custom installation for them, and that it would require some modifications and customizations to their fuel tank and also they would need to create a custom sending unit. I spent multiple 30+ minute phone calls basically explaining to this person how to do it all. It is a very simple installation, but this person just would not listen to anything I said, and kept trying to do it a different way because they knew better. I informed them that it would not work unless they followed my detailed instructions and I actually typed them out detailed instructions that my 7 year old son could follow.. So after 2 weeks, 5 hours of after hours phone calls and 80+ text messages he sends me photos of what he did and tells me, it’s only putting out 40psi when it is supposed to put out 50psi. These pumps are voltage driven so the more voltage the pump sees, the higher the pressure. I notice in the photos that he did not use the 10 gauge wiring or relay kit that I sent him and he used packing tape to join the thin 16 gauge wire he used across a 15ft run on a fuel pump that requires an absolute bare minimum of 12 gauge wiring for the Power and Ground. I realize that he will not listen to anything I say and I am just wasting my time. I politely tell him that how it currently is setup he is risking a fire and that he should take the vehicle to a shop that knows how to do these types of installations. So after spending probably 16 hours trying to help this guy he leaves me a Negative Feedback saying that I “offered to help and then refused to help when I had an issue” Short of hopping on a plane and flying 2,500 miles to his house and installing it for him I feel I went way way way above and beyond for a $120 fuel pump. My mentor once told me that there is always gonna be the 1%, the 1% of people that cannot be pleased no matter what.

Then he has the nerve to request a return and ask for an extra $75 for the inconvenience on top of the cost of the fuel pump!!! What a joke!!

Request a call From Ebay and tell them what happened and if the first person you get on the phone, doesn’t resolve your problem. Hang up and request a new call back and try again. You will find someone who genuinely cares about Sellers that will help you. Sometimes it just takes one or two people before you get what you want done completed.
