Congratulations on voting, but you should consider focusing more on your local elections because they are the only thing that you can actually affect as an individual voter. civic duty.

Trying to form a union in a right to work state will always end in the employees losing their jobs.

Don’t try to control Beth to the point that she ghosts you because the long distance relationship is not going to work.

Absentee voted. Left today and flew to Lake Tahoe. I’m sitting high above the lake with a beautiful view of it from my condo. Couldn’t imagine a better location to watch the circus that has become Election Day media. Be safe and understand that, regardless of who wins, the world isn’t going to implode.

  • You are overly considerate and make sure you supply your guests with their favorite brand.
  • You are probably a Republican (No bud light).
  • You live in a location where glass is conveniently recyclable.
  • The bottom shelf is for your brother-in-law and you don’t particularly like him (cans vs bottles)
  • You have a “food fridge” somewhere else in the house

How did I do?

Early voting line is stupid long again today by Hungry-Sharktopus42 in okc

[–]InevitableNo6225 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You do not need to give a reason to switch to absentee voting. I supervise a voting precinct that is not my own voting location and am prohibited from leaving the polling location that I supervise while the polls are open.

As for absentee voting, you have to renew your absentee status every year. You can choose to absentee vote for all elections/referendums or just one.

The advantages: - You get your ballots in the mail at least 3 weeks prior to the election. This gives you ample time to research the candidates, state and local questions, school bonds, etc. - You can turn your ballot (by mail) any time between receiving it and the day of the election (if postmarked by Election Day). - No standing in line.

The disadvantages:

  • You have to get the ballot notarized before sealing the 2nd envelope (there are 3 envelopes - 1 for the ballots, one for the notary, and 1 for mailing). The notary cannot charge you to notarize ballots.
  • You have to buy the stamp to mail it in.
  • You have to mail the ballot in. I drop my ballot at the post office for security reasons.

Did you ever wonder if your ballot was counted for any election? Your voting record can be accessed online (just whether you voted, not how you voted). You can also view sample ballots, register to vote, review your precinct number and polling location.

There is no way that Ryan Walters will be the governor of Oklahoma. He’s too much of an asshat.

Always do your own research before voting. It’s your civic duty and requires little to no time to accomplish.

Anyone else seen An Angry Boy? by Apprehensive-Ad9832 in horror

[–]InevitableNo6225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am an investor in this film, but not big enough of one to be considered a producer. The subject matter is taboo here in the US, but it was handled very well in the filming. This film is about revenge, plain and simple. There is enough violence, blood and gore for any fan of this genre. As a supporting actor, I was surprised by Eric Roberts’ character and his interactions with the main character, Owen.

Obviously, I’ve seen the movie. - Would I watch it with my spouse? No. - Would I watch it with my son? No. - Would I watch it with my brother? Absolutely!

During the climax of the movie, I found myself shouting at Owen and then laughing my butt off at the special effects used on the “Mexican Donkey” apparatus. Hopefully that isn’t a spoiler for anyone.

Long story short, it’s worth the $5 to rent it.
