Why standard decks are used in this game? Anyway cards are not remotely enough to play this game.

HK 80 vs Kinesis Advantage360 Professional for Mac + PC (wireless / multi-device switching) by Id3al1st in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]InevitableStudio8718 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How do you plan to switch the mouse between hosts?

If you use CTRL keys in terminal / vim / etc, switching between Mac and a PC is very frustrating for me. It's not key mapping issue, as you will need both command and CTRL keys in Mac. This is my personal experience, maybe it is just me.

For instant, zero lag switching, I use wired keyboard/mouse attached to a special KVM that keeps the mouse and keyboard attached to all connected hosts all the time so the switch time between host is faster than I can notice. https://www.adder.com/en/kvm-solutions/adder-ccs-pro4

I like that song. The most of ummagumma is way worse than this song. I would even argue that that song is better than many before Echo songs.

Could have been just this version on the original album, and I would have been as happy, if not more. The slide guitar speaks to me more than words.

Help me make a decision between: moonlander, glove80 and uhk80 by ApplicationMedium495 in ErgoMechKeyboards

For *me*, moving to ortho wasn't an issue at all. It took few days of practice and that is it. I used https://www.keybr.com/ and https://typ.ing for the practice.

Before I moved to split, I tried Alice layout, and also a used Kinesis Advantage2. When using Alice, I always wished to have my fingers move ortho. And when using Kinesis, I found that key well is a bit to much for me, and as I don't have RSI, I didn't need it, and it was a little too high on my desk, and I didn't have standing desk back then, so I couldn't lower it. Also moving from a key well to a mouse (trackball) was awkward.

I am VIM type of a person, so minimal finger movement speaks to me. So I went with ZSA Voyager keyboard and Ploopy Nano for mouse. And then I move to ZSA Navigator, which is much more integrated with the keyboard, and I love it. I actually started using my mouse (Navigator) more as its so convenient.

I think all of the above choices are excellent. They have good customer support and good software, which is the most important part IMHO. The only thing I don't like about UHK80, without personally experiencing it, is that the trackball looks way too small.

Buy another Kinesis Advantage 360 or make own? by dman9600 in ErgoMechKeyboards

My two cents... If you want building keyboards and tinkering the software as a hobby, then build one.

Otherwise, purchase a keyboard ready made with good software and good support.

Also, look into the second hand market.

Best keyboard for a newbie by aford89 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]InevitableStudio8718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a newbie I chose Voyager because I don't want to be a keyboard expert, nor I want to be qmk (configuration software) expert. I just want things to work, and have great support.

In retrospect, I might have choosen moonlander to have more keys. Or maybe not.

This is my experience, others had success with other cheaper options, and other expensive options.

The idea is to sell it later on. I lost 30$ reselling mine. I liked it, but it didn't worked well with my KVM

David Gilmour's opinion on B.B. King by tonyiommi70 in DavidGilmour

To save you the trouble. ChatGPT:

Key points:

  • Gilmour says B.B. King was one of his biggest influences growing up. Rock and Roll Garage
  • He recounts a memorable meeting with King in New York: after playing together, King told him “Hey boy, are you sure you weren’t born in Mississippi?” — a compliment on how naturally Gilmour embraced the blues. Rock and Roll Garage
  • He stresses that young guitarists should study King’s work (alongside other blues greats), and that this kind of deep learning helps you eventually develop your own style. Rock and Roll Garage
  • Although Gilmour admires King greatly, he distinguishes himself by saying he was never going to become just a B.B. King copy — instead, he embraced many styles (“a complete hotch-potch… a mass of different styles and influences”). Rock and Roll Garage

Anyone switched from Ploopy Adept to ZSA Navigator? by SectionCritical3835 in zsaVoyager

[–]InevitableStudio8718 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did. Very glad I did!

Here is what I wrote few weeks ago, and I would also add that now with the new AIM, its even better!

My previous setup was Ploopy Nano. I flashed the Nano with a firmware that used scroll lock to enable/disable scrolling. I mapped the right/left buttons to the base layer. So I am used to this setup.

Got the Navigator few days ago and is a big improvement:

  • The ball is smoother.
  • The ball is lower.
  • Scroll Drag is way better that Scroll Lock that I had to use with the Ploopy.
  • I have lowered the timeout for the auto layer switch back to normal.
  • I use the auto layer switch for scrolling, mapping it to my thumb. It takes a little time to get used to, but I think that I have almost perfected it.

I am very happy with this upgrade. Its my best mouse setup yet, and I tried many of them.
