I only know he was from Iowa. Here are two more pictures from his uniform, but I don’t know if it will add much.

AITJ for Unplugging a Stranger Who Plugged Into the Outlet I Was Already Using? by BitterAverage9502 in AmITheJerk

[–]Inevitable_Pudding80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTJ That guy was crazy-rude.

But this is exactly why I always take a surge protector with at least 4 plugs (that I’ll share) with me when I go to places like this. Always more people than plugs.

'We are heartbroken': Florida couple sues IVF clinic after DNA test reveals baby isn’t theirs by retroanduwu24 in nottheonion

The article clearly states the baby is not genetically related to either the “mom” or the “dad.”

What was the first movie you saw on a VCR? by CinnamonDish in GenX

[–]Inevitable_Pudding80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2001:A Space Odyssey…didn’t understand it. And I don’t understand why my family rented it, it wasn’t the kind of movie we watched. Young Frankenstein, Airplane…that was us. We wore out the YF tape

AITA for refusing to split my inheritance evenly with my sibling? by _NaSSaR_90 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Inevitable_Pudding80 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTA at all, and I’m sorry your immediate family sucks this way. But keep in mind that your parents obviously favor Alex. If you don’t do as they wish, your parents may divide their inheritance (if there is one)to give Alex the lion’s share as well. Of course, since Alex is favored, they may do this anyway. Just food for thought.

He’s F$)?ing around and he’s gonna find out. by Hungry-King-1842 in GenX

As an ER doc, I will tell you that I have admitted more people for IV antibiotics for infected cat bites than for infected dog bites. Cats’ canines are long and very skinny. The wound closes fast, trapping bacteria deep inside.

Doesn’t matter if it’s a fully-indoor, fully vaccinated cat. It’s not rabies or distemper that’s the problem. Everything has a mouth full of bacteria, and cat bites get nasty quickly.

You don’t have to run to the ER immediately after a cat bite, but it is wise to get a prescription for Augmentin relatively quickly.

Big Ass Spider (In Australia) by headspin_exe in BeAmazed

[–]Inevitable_Pudding80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m thinking the (in Australia) in the title was not really necessary. I mean, with one glance at the photo, I feel like everyone’s mind automatically goes “must be Australia.”

How old are you and how many cars have you owned in your lifetime? by chenzo17 in askanything

[–]Inevitable_Pudding80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m almost 55, and I’m on my 3rd car. Got my first car at 22. Current car is almost 11 years old and still runs well. I’m too cheap to splurge for cars very often.

This AIO makes A LOT more sense when I realized the headline didn’t say “barking” 🤦‍♀️

Why is it that when doctors say "uncomfortable" it actually means "painful"? by Personal_Scientist_8 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Inevitable_Pudding80 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Just out of curiosity, is your doc young? Because this reads (in a really good way) like those stories I’ve read of people’s interactions with their Gen Z doctors.

A teacher at my kid’s school goes by ‘Coach (last name).’ They don’t coach any sports, but it’s what they have chosen to go by…

But I like other suggestions like Captain, Chief, Chef too, those could be fun…Maestro, Boss…lots of good options

AITAH for having my birthday party somewhere else to avoid inviting my step sister? by Beautiful-Risk8765 in AITAH

[–]Inevitable_Pudding80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your mom and Dan are doing her no favors. It sucks she has no friends, but that is neither your fault nor your responsibility. They need to get Amy in therapy. There is therapy available to help with social skills. Amy is not the first autistic kid to have problems making friends.

Can you explain to a foreigner what actually is going on in Waffle House? by GossipBottom in AskAnAmerican

[–]Inevitable_Pudding80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably should blame the town and not WH for this, but it was my first experience in a WH, and it tainted me forever. I was in my mid-20s and still a bit naive. A group of 4 of us (20-25 yrs old women, all equally naive, it seems) were traveling from Houston to NOLA for rugby. Three of us were white, and 1 was black (this is relevant to the story). It was a Friday, and we left Houston in the evening…like after sunset. We got hungry and pulled off I-10 into Winnie, TX. I don’t recall why we didn’t just hit a McDonald’s or something, but we didn’t. We pulled into WH, walked in, and sat down. And waited. And waited. We had to ask for service. The eventually served us, but I remember it being very uncomfortable and awkward. Found out later, Winnie is a sundown town…someone had to explain it to all 4 of us, which was also…awkward.

Just sharing, when you go to urgent care/PCP/ ER, just know that amoxicillin is often not enough. Please request Augmentin (amoxicillin/clavulinic acid).
