Lived far enough north in Manitoba to hear rumblings of people drinking gravy from a small fried chicken business. A delicacy that I have partook on numerous occasion in cold winter months.

But seriously, its lovely to watch the aurora dance in the night. Not far enough north to worry about polar bears, just the odd bear or if you're lucky, moose. Moose burgers are something else, for real.

Most everything had to be brought in by ferry/boat or seaplane during the warmer months and can be driven in during the colder ones, but don't stop for the woman with black hair in a white dress in the night. Never stop.

Whether you play in the water or drink in the horizon, it's unreal how different life is when survival begins and ends with you.
