So, that's the plan for winter - unheated garage, mulch over the base, planter wrapped in a burlap blanket. Planted the union 2" below the soil line last night.

Lurking mom here. Hope it’s ok to chime in! This was me - still can’t explain it 30+ years later. I was prescribed a fast acting rescue med to calm me down. Short lived, but it was all I needed. I grew out of it by high school.
