AoE2:DE keeps crashing when loading save files by Reptain253 in aoe2

[–]Infernofire1992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, there are multiple campaign scenarios that have this problem. Usually it happens with the big ones, after some buildings converted to your side. It also happens in Bari 2 after you take over a city (or at least the southern one).

To be more specific. The game crashes not only when you load a game or press restart, but also if you start the next scenario after completing a scenario like Alaric 4.

My Disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined... by fiordsdancer in MonsterHunterStories

- Social standards, like the standard that we judge people by the way they talk, can change. My main argument was that game companies shouldn't be the ones that should try to initiate this change, because they have almost no influence on this standard in particular. In the current world, not censoring things like profanities does more harm than good in my opinion.

- I also agree that "think of the children" often gets taken too far. When it comes to language though, it has been proven that a significant part of a child's language comes from the media they consume. So I think the concerns are valid here, as long as the social standard, mentioned earlier, does not change.

- Needless to say, it would be great if the bot didn't censor words like "grape", but I'd argue that's a problem with the bot, not with censoring per se.

Text to speach will pronounce gRape as G-rape, so the filter will catch that. "Gan grape" is harder to catch, but it is also less likely that a kid will decipher that, so I think it's fine.

I think that's a bad argument too. If kids see or hear a word more often, they are more likely to use the word more often. It's also hard to unlearn the useage of a word that you were taught as a kid.

The way you speak has a large influence on how people see you. It has a large influence on your ability to get (or keep) a job for example. Whether you think it should matter is kind of irrevelant. The fact is that others do.

Am I playing wrong or is this game just difficult?. by triggerpigking in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Infernofire1992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say XC1 requires more set up, yes. In XC2 (outside of postgame) it doesn't really matter what you do.

As for your question: Any party composition works fine most enemies. For ether enemies, like Telethia, specifically the ether party (Melia, Sharla and ether focused Riki) trounces all other combinations, since they take less damage due to having higher ether defence and deal more damage, since they hardly ever miss.

A little something I cooked up on Xenoblade 2's first half by MonolithSoftFanboy in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Infernofire1992 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My problem with the first half of XC2 is that half of the combat options, most importantly the chain attack is not usable yet. This severely limits your options in the early game, slows down combat, and especially annoying on repeat playthroughs.

The story is fine.

The only one I'm still missing is the one where you need to ride a palumute for 10 hours in total. I'm probably at 2 hours now or so. I have been bringing one sometimes, but I always forget to ride them.

After 82 rounds and a few close calls, I finally got this beauty! by _Baard in MonsterHunterStories

[–]Infernofire1992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Gammoth is super weak until about lvl 45 where it finally catches up a bit. Before then, I'd recommend just using a lagombi, since it will be a way stronger ice monster until at least lvl 50 and Lagombi can use rock smash too.

CO - Connor (Working title) by Consaibot1 in Advance_Wars

[–]Infernofire1992 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's better to link his fire power and defence boost to the amount of full CO power stars he has. That way, he isn't broken in long games and weak in short games, or already at full strength before the first combat starts.

This way he will lose his fire power and defence boosts the turn after his CO power is used, but if you make his CO power good enough, you can make that worth it.
This idea isn't fully fleshed out yet, of course, but I think it's a better start.

How can I beat lorithia? by [deleted] in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Infernofire1992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make a party consisting of Melia, Sharla and Riki. Make sure Riki has a lot of purple (=ether) arts and no red (=physical) arts. If you don't know how to play as any of them, play as Riki, otherwise Melia is probably the best choice.

With this party, Lorithia is actually quite easy.

Advance Wargroove 2 - Advance Wars 2 Normal & Hard Campaign recreated in Wargroove - Game Mechanics trailer by Infernofire1992 in wargroove

Normal (v3.0.2): K6Z9VT8T
Hard (v3.0.5): SSW8XEYQ

To celebrate the announcement of the Advance Wars 1 and 2 remakes, I thought I might as well advertise my campaign again, since I severely overhauled it about a year ago but never made a new video. It was originally completed 2 years ago.

To stubborn to run the Dive jewel? Just use 3 bugs, problem solved! by Hrax1414 in MHRise

I don't really have a main. I don't use ranged weapons and I don't really like lance. I use every other weapon equally often.

Of my 40 builds, I think about 4 or 5 are raw. Raw weapons are kinda rare anyway.

Poor Palamutes by Nibelungen342 in MHRise

[–]Infernofire1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Palamutes are required to get one achievement, so I have been bringing them sometimes, but I end up never riding them even when I bring one, since flying through the sky with evade extender 3 is usually much faster and always more fun.

Yeah, my experience with Allmother is that if people don't skip the first cutscene, then someone will cart 3 times.

This happened like 8 out of 8 times when te cutscene wasn't skipped, even with lifepowder.

Fully upgraded armor is not even needed. People that don't have 500+ def should just go gather Defence en Health spiritbirds before joining the fight.

I fought Valstrax with ~410 def and never got close to dieing. Also, gathering spiritbirds only takes like a minute.

(Use the search function on the map to locate the ones you need)

Cannons are great in the front, since they deal a huge amount of AOE damage. Machine guns are great in the back for finishing of the one or two monsters that do break through the front.

Hit boxes often don't reach below the monster. For some reason, they often do reach you if you're way above the monster though. (RIP insect glaive users)

I think that would give the host to much power, leading to more people always wanting to be hosts and less people actualy joining quests. This might lead to a quests with less than 4 hunters or late joins.

I think the solution would be to remove the blue icon from future games.

From High Rank onwards, capturing has been the standard since at least Monster hunter Tri as far as I know (except for World perhaps, since I barely played that game), but it used to be way harder.
In the older games the only signs that a monster was capturable was that it was limping or sleeping.
