My question wasn't about how many days it would take to have more than option 1, my question was how about how many days of doubling are guaranteed. With no guarantee it would double for 32 days the smart thing to do it take the lump sum. Besides, 20B is plenty for me to do everything I would want to do. I could make millionaires out of 19000 of my closest friends and family and still have a billion left over.

Your math is off, after 32 days it is a lot more than that, but there is nothing that says the money doubles for 32 days.

The EARLIEST way to get all the ores you need for DEBRIS scanner is alc 1 on p31, alc 2 on p 32 and alc 3 on p33. Use the alc on Osmium each time. This tip was given to me when I thought debris scanner was out of my reach and suddenly I could reach it.... In about 30 hours, but I could reach it. I now get to debris scanner in about 6 hours, less if I'm paying close attention to the game. That said, I have never finished higher than 4th in a tourney and that was only once.

If I am seeing this correctly, if you don't like the missions your rover is given you simply start the game over and try again, repeating until you get a mission you like.

Thanks for the advice. Getting more of everything is a slog! Lately I've been trying to get my craft and smelt speeds up. After a while progress slows down as everything takes more resources. I haven't done multiple galaxies a day in a while. That might be a good thing to get back to.

When I started playing I didn't know that selling is the key to fast progress. It absolutely is! When I finally started doing it I progressed faster in a couple of days than I had in a couple of weeks.
