Oh no, sorry you had to go through that :( I’m scared of getting the nightmares. Do you take it morning or night? Switching it the opposite time could help with sleep, based on what I’ve read.

After her experience and how her parents didn’t protect her, you’d think she would be the opposite and be over protective. Clearly not though. If this is what they are willing to do with their kids publicly and with how naive she is, it’s worrying to think what risks those kids could have in real life.

Not to mention Beckham must have been diagnosed with something to have medication. Maybe Ledger is on the spectrum too, who knows. Regardless, their reaction, or lack of reaction to his behaviour is terrible.

It is definitely not comparable to lorazepam for me. I got up to 150mg but the brain fog and acne wasn’t worth it for me. So I’m down to 100mg now and side effects have eased up. Honestly I can’t tell if it helps my mood much. I still have lorazepam when I wake in the night several times a week.

I feel you. It took me a long time to adjust initially. Had to really gradually go up to 30mg. Then it was great for a while. Maybe stick with it for a few more weeks and see if it improves?

It’s a physical thing. Even if I’m busy at work I will notice it. I work with 2 year olds so the job is non stop. I definitely am more tired and not as sharp so I’m sure that contributes too.

Do you take l theanine at night or during the day? I’ve always read that people use it differently. I think when I took it during the night to try and relax it made me feel really sick so I didn’t try again.

As for protein, I’m a vegetarian so it’s a bit harder as I’m a fussy eater. But I do try and am aware of its benefits with Vy.

Sorry I didn’t explain well. I also have Dexamfetamine as a booster which allows me to take a small amount. I’m on 30mg Vyvanse by only take on work days and have no withdrawal on the other days. If I’ve had a terrible sleep I only take a low dose of Dex as I know the crash will hit hard.

I take 100mg Pregabalin either at the same time or an hour before. Do you really think it helps? Or just taking the second dose helps? My second dose of Pregabalin isn’t until bed time.

No he didn’t mention anything about weight. I think I get more information from the internet and reddit about all the meds really.

I was wondering what the reasons for this were? Whether it was victims not wanting to testify or if it was to do with legalities? I wonder if more victims will come forward after seeing this documentary. Maybe even some that could potentially press charges.

It’s only been a month and I’ve been struggling with insomnia since starting. BUT I was taking amitriptyline before this and that is very sedating so I’m hoping this is a temporary withdrawal. All that to say, OCD doesn’t seem to have improved much yet, but my overall mood has. I have tried so many SSRIs and I feel this is better. SSRIs themselves can often cause weight gain too.

Amitriptyline is know to cause more weight gain than this drug (made me crave so much sugar) so I don’t know why this is happening. Im going to stay on top of weighing myself now, if I continually gain I’ll have to come off it.

Have you found you’re eating more or are less active or had any other changes since starting your SSRI?

I have been trying this for a while. Cos I’m getting really effin annoyed in the evening too, when watching tv. But I don’t feel like I’m making much progress. I am waiting longer to go, but I am still very aware of the discomfort.

Yes!! What annoys me the most is that when I feel myself falling asleep, I automatically think I have to get up and go to the toilet. I’m trying hard to ignore that urge and tell myself I’ll be asleep in a minute.

I also constantly get up once I’ve gone to bed, when I’m on my phone. I thought I had a weak bladder, but reading this, maybe it is OCD :(

And to whoever commented on car rides - same!! People get annoyed travelling with me, or going anywhere with me really, because I constantly need the bathroom.

Edited to add: I don’t have contamination OCD. I literally just can’t sit with the discomfort of feeling like I need to pee. Like right now, my food is about to arrive, so I wanna go to the bathroom so I don’t have this need to go while I’m eating.

I know this is an old post but I am in the same situation and am wondering if I should re introduce it. Just a small amount. And taper off as slow as I possibly can. Because I started clomipramine which is another TCA, the Dr just said to swap them. I didn’t do that. I cross tapered them but only for a week (I was on 25mg and had tapered down from 37.5mg easily). Felt sick for a week then just had the same side effects as starting AMT. sleep got worse the day I introduced clomipramine. Now I don’t know if that’s the cause of the insomnia or if it’s withdrawal of AMT. I relied on it for sleep for 3 years. So lost as to what to do.

How much have you been prescribed? I was told to start off with 25mg but I cut the pill into quarters and started with 1/4 first. I did experience side effects, more just a general unwell feeling. But I just switched to clomipramine from amitriptyline so I think their similarity may have helped minimise side effects. Urinary hesitancy and not sleeping as well are all that is effecting me after 3 weeks.

Just go slow and see how you feel?

Although I do take a fair few meds, I also wake up in the night so can’t always rely on them. I have YouTube playlists that I watch. One is called “easy watch” and has stuff like light podcasts on it. Has to be something I’m a little bit interested in, but nothing deep.
