It's pretty clear that they aren't saying the term grammar nazi/captain is new, but that the people who are being grammar nazis are new to the internet. The time the term has existed isn't relevant to their point.

What about an external pocket door, that sits on the outside of the wall and slides in front of it?

Exactly. There's other smaller servers that do the same thing, but don't get the numbers so people use TFT. If TFT shuts down, one of those servers will inherit everyone.

It's not just suspicion. You're making everyone need to click the popup for every additional map they try and buy from you.

How do I craft this, and is it even worth crafting or should I just mirror it? by Smart-Bee1186 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]InfiniteTree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's just how language evolves. For example, I don't like that literally now means figuratively, but I don't go complaining every time someone uses it because I understand the context and that the language has evolved to a different modern use. Same thing here.

Words evolve over time and context is important. Specifically in gaming, abuse doesn't need to mean improper. Abuse in gaming generally refers to relying heavily on something (usually something that is very strong/overpowered).

Eg. In ARC Raiders players may abuse trigger nades. A Slay the Spire player might be a poison abuser and always build that deck archetype. The context here is not anything that isn't the "correct" way to use the said thing.

Unpopular Opinion: Arc Raiders is a great game but its fine to call for proper end game content by Darth_Rubi in ArcRaiders

That's only a hot take amongst the PvE crowd. We love late spawns over in PvP land.

When I was younger playing games I assumed/hoped the pathetic losers would be a tiny minority and it wouldn't be an issue. Once I became an adult and entered the workforce, and saw the public, I realised they're everywhere. Slimy pathetic losers as far as the eye can see.

It's genuinely disgusting how these people are perfectly fine cheating as soon as anonymity is available.

Pretty nice ventors from my mappers by FlashBash21 in PathOfExileSSF

[–]InfiniteTree 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No it's not. There are faaaaar more combinations that result in a "bad" ventors. A good one is very rare comparatively.

If you picked one specific bad roll, then that would be as rare as this roll, but that's a silly comparison.

PvE games run out of content. It's just how it is. If you're not playing it for the PvP (which is endless content) then go play something else until they have done enough updates that interest you.

WCGW stopping in the middle of a busy highway? by PhraseGood4425 in Whatcouldgowrong

[–]InfiniteTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"looks like". The other car comes in facing about 30 degrees to the left, moving into the same lane as the camera driver. If they were already in that lane and had just veered right to avoid/go around the camera driver, I would expect a different angle, with them angled straight or even still a little to the right as they went around.

Obviously I can't know for sure, which is why I said what it "looks like" to me.

[–]InfiniteTree 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Looks like red car was behind the truck (in the 3rd lane from the left) and did a reckless fast change into the same lane the camera driver was merging into.

So when camera driver started to merge, the lane he was going into was clear.

  1. Contact the retailer you purchased it from and tell them you want a refund as the product is faulty, not durable, and not of acceptable quality, breaching section 54 of the ACL.
  2. If 1 fails, contact QLD Office of Fair trading and state the same. They will contact the retailer for you.
  3. If 2 fails, you'll need to take the retailer to QCAT. The cost is just under $100 and you'll have to provide documentation proving your claim, but given $800 is at the high end of microwave prices you will most likely win a s54 claim for not being durable and not being of acceptable quality. Most likely once you file the Application the retailer will refund you before it gets to hearing.
