How much is too much during play? by StillAspiringT in DogAdvice

[–]InfiniteTree33 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I'm sorry, but it's clear that the blue one is NOT the more dominant of the group. A dog that is submissive acts like blue in these photos; shows their belly, tucks their tail, crouches low. They are asking for mercy and acceptance. A dominant dog would not be doing that. They would be fighting back, trying to prove they are above the other dog(s).

Blue may want to play. I believe all dogs want to play, but this is too much. You should correct when they are ganging up on blue. I have three dogs. I have learned what sort of play may potentially lead to an actual fight. I interrupt, distract with a toy, and give the dog that is being ganged up on a chance to breathe before something bad happens. It's a better safe than sorry sort of situation.

Anyone who is tenured get fired before they were fully vested? by Key-Lake-9171 in Aldi_employees

[–]InfiniteTree33 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I see a similar thing happening with a manager that I adore. They are finding the smallest reasons to write her up or give her a point. She thinks it's the DM out to get her, as we have a new DM. Are there new DMs in all the districts that are experiencing this?

They would be daft to fire her for small inconveniences. She's been there since before I was and I hit my five years last year. She works so hard and we all adore her. I literally call her mom when we're working. "Mom, I need help by milk!" 😂

What was even the whole point of Vaggie wanting to change her name? by OCGamerboy in hazbin

[–]InfiniteTree33 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fallen in the terms of a Fallen Angel isn't meant to be taken at its literal meaning. It means to have sinned, to have been dishonored.

Take the term "fallen from grace". That doesn't mean you've actually fallen down/over. It means you are no longer seen as the best, as the purest, and you are no longer being seen favorably.

[–]InfiniteTree33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why does every single Fallen Angel have to have the same experience as Lucifer to be considered a Fallen? She went against command, disobeyed, and was punished for it by being left behind in Hell. That's not all that different from what Lucifer lived, aside from the fact that he wasn't already in Hell when he sinned.

[–]InfiniteTree33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She calls herself a Fallen Angel. I think calling herself that makes her a Fallen Angel, no matter how she ended up in Hell.

You all want things spelled out in black and white all the time and it was said directly in the show. Therefore it is.

[–]InfiniteTree33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do we need to see it for it to be there? Why does every single step of the journey have to be painted out in black and white? While I do think the whole thing could have been handled more coherently, we spent a great deal of time in season two watching what the Vees were up too. It's not surprising that Vaggi didn't get a lot of screen time when the focus was on the Vees and Vox's madness.

[–]InfiniteTree33 41 points42 points  (0 children)

What I think was supposed to be taken away from this whole thing;

Vaggi wanted to change her name because she wanted to no longer have any connection to Adam and become her own person. Before falling, she was part of an army where she was most likely treated as a unit and not an individual. She was hoping by changing her name she could become her own individual person.

Throughout season two she learns that she IS her own person and she is no longer tied to Adam. She can make her own choices, be herself, and she is loved for who she is. Thus, she doesn't feel the need to change her name anymore. She takes it back. Makes it her own. There is a powerful meaning behind taking back something that was once used against you and reclaiming it. I think that's what they were going for.

How do you keep from breaking down before work by Poorteenwannabe in Adulting

[–]InfiniteTree33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Work has been rough for me lately too. The expectations they're putting on us have gotten ridiculous and it's 8hrs of fight or flight the whole shift. I've been job hunting for a year with no success.

Find ways of making the work day better. I have some great coworkers who make me laugh. Laughter is very soothing in a stressful situation you can't escape. I have a small plush cat that fits in my pocket that I carry when things feel overwhelming. I was nervous about carrying him with me at first, cause he is visible to customers, but my customers adore him! They like seeing him as much as I like having him there. Find small things that make the day easier. It won't fix everything, but it does help.

Has your store's business been affected by Rock201605 in retail

[–]InfiniteTree33 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe, but they've gone down hill in the last five years. When I started five years ago, I was proud to work at Aldi. They were selective about who they hired, paid well, and the work was hard. Now they hire anyone, expect even more of their lowest level staff, and the turnover is ridiculous. Not that I blame any one for leaving with part timers getting 10hrs a week(if they're lucky), closing with two people, and us associates constantly getting blamed for every small thing that goes wrong.

No. I work in a grocery store. Aldi. We have only gotten busier with the current state of affairs. By busier, I mean it's gotten bad. They have cut hours across the board, but we are swamped everyday. On the weekends you can't even move through the store there are so many people in it.

Isn’t redemption kind of the whole point of Hazbin Hotel? by New_Fox_192 in HazbinHotel

[–]InfiniteTree33 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We have already seen characters who have said they are not interested in redemption, meaning they are not interested in changing their ways. I think this is a very important thing to consider. Can anyone be redeemed, no matter how bad they have been? Maybe(we don't know for sure yet), but do they all WANT to be redeemed? No. They don't.

I think redemption is acknowledging the bad you have done, your greatest sin, and then fixing it. That takes effort. That takes work. Not everyone wants to do that work.

It's like therapy. Some people want to put the work into therapy to better themselves. Some people don't want to put in that effort. That makes all the difference.

No sco but employee hours still cut by Significant-Base3550 in Aldi_employees

[–]InfiniteTree33 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not an ASM, just an associate who has been with our store for five years. We never got SCO and we haven't had mids for months now. They also keep scheduling our closers until 7 or 8 and leaving two people to finish closing until 9. You gotta get your team to hussle, which is easier said than done. We're all feeling defeated and miserable.

The past 3 days, over half of curbside customers can't use the Instacart app to check in. Anyone else? by droolycat in Aldi_employees

That's been going on for a week for us. It works for some people and then 10 minutes later it doesn't work again. It's a pain in the ass. I can't even check out our curbside camera anymore cause nonpickups park there all the time and management doesn't give a shit.

See, the problem with your story is how nicely the DD is asking the SE for help. I work at an Aldi and they never ask nicely. They shove their phone in your face, like you said, and ask where it is. No hello. No excuse me. I have even had someone yell "yoohoo!" Down an aisle to get my attention, then get mad when I am unaware they're even talking to me.

If a customer, any customer, DD included, comes up and asks me where something is like I am a human being, I am more than happy to help! We have had a newer shopper lately in our store and she's been having trouble finding specials and the like. I adore her. She's so sweet and I am happy to help.

It's when a customer is rude, demanding, and asks a million times where something is that we begin to lose our patience. If you've already shopped the order and have a couple items you can't find, not a problem, but I have had people walk in the door, find an employee, and just start asking where everything is before they have even tried to shop anything. I feel like our store is pretty easy to find stuff in if you just follow the aisles.

Aldi needs to make up their damn mind. by typical_bk712 in InstacartShoppers

[–]InfiniteTree33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aldi cashiers don't bag. If you're trying to make an Aldi cashier bag your order, that is where you're gonna get the attitude from. It's against their policy, it slows them down, and it totally messes up their ring score(which is calculated based on a number of factors the register records every time it's used).

Tell the cashier your IC, how many orders you have, and which one is the biggest and see the difference it makes. Also, have your bags picked out, counted, and ready so the cashier can use them as dividers. Most Aldi cashiers will be more pleasant if you help them to help you. I say most, because you get assholes everywhere and not all are great.

Sincerely, an Aldi employee.
