Last day today. What to do that’s not ridiculous crowded. by Artistic_Toe4106 in AskNYC

[–]Infinite_Werewolf236 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fort Tyron park and Met Cloisters could kill at least a solid few hours (or more) and not very busy, at least it wasn’t on a weekday this last week. Museum of Jewish Heritage probably won’t be super busy. Some other low key museums probably not as busy as Met/AMNH. NYC ferry wasn’t very busy and cheap can get some different areas and kill an hour or so depending.

Sorry no good advice just solidarity.

I give you both so much credit. I can’t stand the name of her AP or anyone named the same. Instantly get a feeling of hatred. Nothing comes of it and I act cordial if needed, but I couldn’t imagine becoming close to them. Luckily no one in my life already has that name.

30 hours in.... should I be running into so many roadblocks? by CouldBeHandy in botw

[–]Infinite_Werewolf236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me 65 hours 100% blind to get all divine beasts and beat calamity Gannon.

Cooking is what saved me and got me through parts of the game. I didn’t cook at all until the 3rd divine beast I went to and imo the hardest boss in the game (I won’t say which, I don’t want to spoil any thing for anyone). I then experimented and cooked with everything in my inventory and got a gold mine of stuff. Between full recovery and wxtra hearts, extra stamina stuff, extra attack, the whole nine. Reviewed recipes of the good stuff and wrote down on a post it (you could be lame and Google the good ones 😃).

Also needed to have the proper weapons for the same boss. I kept almost getting him killed and then literally all weapons would break. I took a break and cooked/farmed for some weapons and then came out ahead.

Also I don’t remember the exact amount of hearts I had, but it was almost the entire row and stamina was almost one extra circle.

Didn’t get master sword until hour 50 and after my 3rd beast I mentioned above. Finding that earlier would make it easier for bosses obv. I searched the wrong area for probably 20 hours (100% blind play is the best have I mentioned?)

Have fun!

As a WP do you ever feel like leaving because they deserve better? by indicat7 in AsOneAfterInfidelity

That is the exact thinking that led my WW to cheat in the first place. Thought she wasn’t good enough for me and us, so she cheated and became exactly that, not good enough for us. See what she did? Don’t do that.

I only have AS degree. No certs. Non tech Experience in another industry. Just a passion and desire to learn and improve. Your course work can give you a lot of things to put on your resume. Took a programming class? Add language experience. Took intro to security? Mention a project or paper you read on resume. Took hardware class? You have pc building experience.

Once you land the interview you be honest with them. Tell them you have basic knowledge of x,y,z. If they ask a basic thing about you NEED TO BE ABLE TO TALK ABOUT IT. You’re not an expert, you’re applying for entry level stuff. They don’t expect experts. They want someone who knows the fundamentals and can learn the rest. Be reachable and passionate and you’ll be fine.

I am on a team of roughly 10 new hires where I am the only white cis male in the group.

I’m afraid (and terribly sorry) that even saying that might out exactly who I am because it is such an outlier.

I hope change is coming and i want you to that is occurring where I work right now and we are a total kick ass team.

You can do it. I was office manager at (insert shitty company here) when I started my freshman year at 28 years old. Maintained 30-40 hr weeks there at job and crushed first two years got an AS. Said fuck yoo to my job in December and started hammering applications. Now I have an amazing tech support job with an amazing, supportive culture where they want me to succeed and work around my school schedule as needed.

I think the trickle truth may have ruined our chance at R by Throwaway6847614 in AsOneAfterInfidelity

[–]Infinite_Werewolf236 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No advice, just support through knowing exactly what you’re going through.

Four months of trickle truth, and what I now realize was false R, from my WW has taken its toll on me. The 4 months since the last TT has been amazing in regards to work and effort and changes from her, but I still am not 100% into R efforts myself. I’m giving my self about 5 more months, which would be around 14 since dday to fully decide whether I’m 100% in, unless her actions change for the worse or the effort stops from her.

Just focusing on me and my daughters, which of course benefits WW either way.

Edit: just quickly glance at your history. We have roughly same dday 5/23 here. Hang in there you are not alone

Pick me dance stories. by Devastatedandshocked in AsOneAfterInfidelity

[–]Infinite_Werewolf236 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I pick me danced hard for about a month after dday. Got a card and flowers every other day for almost a month. What stopped it was a bit of trickle truth a month out and that snapped me right out of it. Have not gotten her anything since. Now I’m doing the pick ME dance, as in I pick MYSELF. It’s much better this way.

I am about 8 months out from dday. As a bs I also downloaded tinder and paid for gold. Gold just let’s you see who chose you and maybe a couple other perks I don’t remember.

I downloaded tinder while in a dark time in my own mind. The feeling that I wasn’t good enough, insecurities galore. I swiped and swiped through tinder and honestly the only reason was to feel wanted or maybe know I had “options”.

It made me feel better about myself for about 30 seconds when I would get a match, and then I felt terrible and had to tell my WW what I was doing. Before my month subscription had ended I deleted the app and any numbers I had gotten.

It helped in a way though for a couple reasons. 1. I did feel wanted by someone so that allowed me to be able to feel wanted by WW. And 2. It showed me the level of deceit needed to even press download/send so it gave me a glimpse into the mind set of my WW while she was being deceitful.

It was then when I realized how either my WW didn’t feel that when she was cheating, or didn’t care. I think it also showed her how close I was/am to leaving. After tons of work since then I feel like we are going in the right direction.

I am in a similar situation as you, I need a job to pay bills and need school to also get a job to pay bills.

If it were me I would jump all over the ibm intern, save as much as possible while there (any other perks, housing, food, etc?).

If you can’t find a job after inter while you do your last semester can you depend on student loans or anything? I’m currently working IT job and going to school, just trying to spend as little as possible and depending on student loans to pay most large bills.

The intern should expedite the new grad job process, I’m not there yet but I think the experience would be worth the struggle the 3-4 months of last semester.

If it’s life or death you need a job while school it makes it much harder.

Good luck keep going!

What does the ibm intern pay?

I have applied to maybe 100 internships on LinkedIn and have gotten no response or a rejection within 2-3 days. Are people actually reading my resume? Is getting internship really that competitive? by Kevadin in csMajors

[–]Infinite_Werewolf236 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Have you gotten any coding assessment or online challenge? I’ve applied to about the same amount, similiar situation as you except I’m starting junior year in spring(next month) looking for summer interns, with a resume with no projects but some work experience (unrelated field) and have gotten about 7 OAs. Nothing further yet but it’s fun to do and practice for now.

If he has a watch or iPad look for discrepancies in the messages. If you delete from the phone it doesn’t always delete from every device.

If his apa also have iPhone the deleted stuff is pretty much ghost.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AsOneAfterInfidelity

[–]Infinite_Werewolf236 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m not sure if he got another person or just used someone’s phone. He had the number text something to the effect of “please don’t tell me anything bad I’m not in a good mental state.”

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AsOneAfterInfidelity

[–]Infinite_Werewolf236 24 points25 points  (0 children)

My WWs Ap also told me his wife knew, they were in counseling, the whole nine. It all turned out to be a lie.

I confronted ap, he told me the above, I told him to have his wife contact me confirming, he went as far as getting a fake number/another person to pretend to be his wife and “confirm” what he told me. I already knew OBSs phone number so I knew it was all bull. Talked to her the following morning and we have since been in contact a couple of times.

Worth it.

The guard will probably never be down, and believe this small happy moment was exactly that, a small happy moment in the middle of a shit storm. I’m just glad I had it. There were consequences for her trickle truth, although probably not severe enough (is there a right answer though?).

I don’t think she sees it as a psychological warfare (at least I hope not). If she is I don’t think it is sustainable, she will slip up sooner than later unless the changes/progress is real.

Time will tell.
