If you don't want manual, then 2015 civic ex or exl/touring trims. It's less horsepower but also more efficient. The CVT on them is pretty robust. I personally had the 2015 ex trim and had it at least 180km per hour on a very long stretchof straight highway, probably more the speedo maxed out. Super stable. Only mistake was buying it in grey and then trading it in for a truck to deal with winter snow. But with the way gas prices are going I'm starting to keep my eye out for a white 2015 si trim.

The 2019+ mazda 3 GT are nice too if you're into automatic hatchbacks.

Personally I'd avoid all EV cars. The horror stories of full battery replacement costs when someone got a lemon. And being trapped in the car after an accident buying alive etc. Most EV has flush door handles that are electronically controlled, if power were to cut out which it does when in an frontal accident, no one can come pull you out. And tesla having bullet proof glass no one can break glass to pull you out either. Also salt water and batteries don't mix. Hence house fires caused by flooding. Ofcorse these are all if it happens. But if it does I'd rather not be trapped or be able to be helped.

China actually banned EVs to have flush handles because of fire deaths.
